Rutger Sturkenboom (born 23 February 1970) [1] is a Dutch Paralympic swimmer. [2] He represented the Netherlands at the 1988 Summer Paralympics, at the 1992 Summer Paralympics, at the 1996 Summer Paralympics and at the 2000 Summer Paralympics. In total he won four silver medals and four bronze medals at the Summer Paralympics. [2] [3]
An all-time medal table for all Paralympic Games from 1960 to 2022. The International Paralympic Committee does not publish all-time tables, and publishes unofficial tables only per single Games. This table was thus compiled by adding up single entries from the IPC database. This medal table also includes the medals won on the 1992 Summer Paralympics for Intellectualy Disabled, held in Madrid, which also organized by the International Coordination Committee (ICC) and same Organizing Committee (COOB'92) that made the gestion of the 1992 Summer Paralympics held in Barcelona and also part of same event. But the results are not on the International Paralympic Committee 's (IPC) database.
Volleyball at the Summer Paralympics was first held in 1976, when the traditional form of standing volleyball for men was contested and sitting volleyball for men was a demonstration sport. From 1980 through 2000, men's standing and sitting events were contested. The women's sitting volleyball event was introduced in 2004.
Wheelchair basketball has been contested at the Summer Paralympic Games since the 1960 Summer Paralympics in Rome.

Cornelis "Cees" Vervoorn is a retired swimmer from the Netherlands. He competed at the 1976, 1980 and 1984 Summer Olympics in seven events; in 1980, he finished fourth, sixth and seventh in the 100 m and 200 m butterfly and 4 × 100 m medley relay, respectively. In the 100 m butterfly final, he clocked 55.25, missing the bronze medal by 0.12 s. In the semifinal he swam 55.02, qualifying first for the final.

Jeanette Clare Chippington, is a British Paralympic swimmer and paracanoeist. Chippington has represented Great Britain at seven Paralympics, five in swimming Summer Paralympics, 1988 Seoul, 1992 Barcelona, 1996 Atlanta, Sydney 2000 and Athens 2004. Competing as a S6 classification swimmer she favoured mainly 50 m and 100m freestyle competitions. After retiring from swimming Chippington returned to disability sport, becoming a world class paracanoeist, winning gold at the 2016 Summer Paralympics and bronze at 2020 Tokyo Paralympics.
Laurent Giammartini is a French wheelchair tennis player. At the 1992 Summer Paralympics held in Barcelona, Spain, he won the silver medal in the men's doubles event together with Thierry Caillier and the bronze medal in the men's singles event. He also represented France at the 1988, 1996 and 2000 Summer Paralympics. He did not win a medal at these events.
