Ruyter Lara Johanna Pakon Suys (born November 5, 1968) is the lead guitar player of the band Nashville Pussy, and lead singer Blaine Cartwright's wife.
Suys spent her youth in Vancouver, in a musical family, particularly fans of rock'n'roll in the vein of Led Zeppelin, David Bowie, and Frank Zappa. Beginning with piano at age three, she picked up the guitar at about 8–9 years, referring to the repertoire of Simon & Garfunkel in particular. At the end of primary school, she got her first guitar from her parents. In her teens she appreciated bands like Motörhead, Slayer, Metallica, Plasmatics, KISS, Aerosmith and Ted Nugent. Suys' main female influences include Nancy Wilson of Heart and Wendy O. Williams. [1]
After high school she moved to Saskatoon where she attended the University of Saskatchewan with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree, graduating at the top of three classes and a Magna Cum Laude honour. While in Saskatchewan she created artistic bronze castings and also spent some time on a farm driving a tractor. After marrying Blaine Cartwright and moving to the U.S. he convinced her to start a band with him. [1] [2]
She has been the lead guitarist of the band Nashville Pussy since 1996, alongside her husband, singer/guitarist Blaine Cartwright. Suys is known for her guitar solos and live performances. She was named in the Elle list of "12 Greatest Female Electric Guitarists" in 2009. [3]

It's like I'm hypnotizing myself or something like that with the volume, and I'm just breathing in really deep and I just fill myself up with the sonic bombast. I have my eyes shut half the night and I basically see obstacles if I'm lucky, like 'don't hit your head on this' and like 'don't step in this hole in the stage' or whatever. Also known for her sympathy towards fans, Ruyter answers comments fans make and gives attention to almost all fans after gigs.
Suys has also played with comedy rock band Dick Delicious and the Tasty Testicles, having been a guest artist for their 2013 record and tour. [4]
Leigh Anne Bingham Nash is an American singer and songwriter who is the lead vocalist for the Christian alternative rock band Sixpence None the Richer and was also a member of Fauxliage. Her debut solo album, Blue on Blue, was released in August 2006. Nash has released two other solo albums in 2011 and 2015. Nash has two Grammy nominations: "Best Pop Performance By A Duo Or Group With Vocal" in 1999 and "Best Rock Gospel Album" in 1998. In July 2023, it was announced that Nash would be joining 10,000 Maniacs as their new lead singer.
Brian Philip Welch, also known by his stage name Head, is an American musician. He is a guitarist and founding member of the nu metal band Korn and his solo project Love and Death, where he also provides vocals. Along with fellow Korn guitarist James "Munky" Shaffer, Welch helped develop Korn's distinctive sound that defined the nu metal aesthetic beginning in the mid-'90s.
Butterfly Giselle Grace Boucher is an Australian singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and record producer born in Adelaide. From the age of 15 years she played bass guitar in her older sister Rebecca Boucher Burns (Becca)'s band Eat the Menu, which issued a debut album, Whoosh, in 1996. Since mid-2000 Boucher has lived in Nashville, United States, and has released four solo albums, Flutterby, Scary Fragile, a self-titled album, and a 10th-anniversary celebration of Flutterby called Happy Birthday Flutterby. Since 2008, Boucher has recorded material for Ten Out of Tenn, a Nashville-based music collective. Boucher is also a member of the pop rock trio Elle Macho.

Dick Delicious and the Tasty Testicles are an American comedy / metal band from Atlanta, Georgia. The band formed in 1992 and released three albums between 1995 and 2003. In 2003, they received the "Howard Stern Award for Musical Excellence" and broke up shortly afterward.
The Beautiful Monsters Tour was a North American concert tour co-headlined by American rock bands Hole and Marilyn Manson. Launched in support of each band's respective third full-length studio LPs, 1998's Celebrity Skin and Mechanical Animals, the tour was planned to run from February 28, 1999, until April 27, with 37 shows confirmed. However, due to a highly publicized altercation between the bands' respective lead vocalists, the tour only visited arenas until March 14, for a total of 9 shows before Hole withdrew from the bill. The tour garnered a large amount of media attention and was billed by MTV as a "potentially volatile mix" due to the public feud between each band's outspoken vocalist.
