Ryan Shaun Higgins (born 24 March 1988) is a former Zimbabwean cricketer. He played 11 One Day Internationals for Zimbabwe in 2006,highlights include the wicket of Brian Lara and best bowling figures of 4/21 from 10 overs. [1] Ryan Higgins retired from international cricket in 2007 at the age of 18. Higgins is now based in the Cotswolds and is now managing director of Gecko Cricket,the company he founded in 2012.
Henry Khaaba Olonga is a Zimbabwean former cricketer,who played Test and One Day International (ODI) cricket for Zimbabwe. In domestic first-class cricket in Zimbabwe,Olonga played for Matabeleland,Mashonaland and Manicaland. When he made his Test debut in January 1995,he was the first black cricketer and the youngest person to play for Zimbabwe. He was a regular member of the Zimbabwe team through 1998 to 2003. He featured in three World Cup tournaments in 1996,1999 and 2003. During his playing days,he formed a rivalry against former Indian batsman Sachin Tendulkar whenever Zimbabwe and India played against each other in international cricket. He was also regarded as Zimbabwe cricket's poster boy.
Zimbabwe Cricket (ZC),previously known as the Zimbabwe Cricket Union (ZCU) until 2004,is the governing body for the sport of cricket in Zimbabwe. Zimbabwe Cricket is a full member of the International Cricket Council (ICC),and administers the Zimbabwe national cricket team,organising Test tours,One-Day Internationals and Twenty20 Internationals with other nations. Alistair Douglas Ross Campbell is a Zimbabwean former cricketer and a former captain of the Zimbabwe national cricket team. He is also a cricket commentator. He played 60 matches in his Test career,captaining Zimbabwe on 21 occasions. He also played 188 One Day Internationals,being captain in 86 of them. He retired from cricket in 2003.
Sean Michael Ervine is a Zimbabwean former cricketer. Ervine played as an all-rounder who batted left-handed and bowled right-arm medium pace.
Ryan Robert Watson is a Zimbabwean-born Scottish cricketer who played limited over internationals and captained Scotland. He currently plays club cricket with Forfarshire CC. Watson is a hard hitting right-handed batsman and is able to bowl both medium-fast and off-break deliveries. He hit the headlines in 2003 when he hit a century off just 43 balls in a game against Somerset at The Grange,Edinburgh. In 2008,he became one of the first three players to be awarded a contract with Cricket Scotland.
Kenya toured Zimbabwe for a series of five One Day Internationals in February and March 2006. Before this tour,Kenya had only played five One Day Internationals since reaching the semi-final of the 2003 World Cup,all of which they had lost. They were keen to acquire more international experience before the 2007 World Cup. Zimbabwe had suffered a series of player disputes and poor results amid continuing political troubles in that country,leading to their self-suspension from Test cricket.
Russell Blair Tiffin is a Zimbabwean cricket umpire and former cricketer. He was a member of the ICC International umpire panel from 1995 to 2018 when he retired.
Ryan McLaren is a former South African professional cricketer,who played in all formats at international level. He is a left-handed batsman and a right-arm medium-fast bowler. McClaren signed a contract with English County side Lancashire for the 2017 season. In January 2019,McLaren announced his retirement from first-class cricket.
Craig Richard Ervine is a Zimbabwean international cricketer who captains Zimbabwe in limited overs matches. Ervine is a left-handed batter. He was born in Harare and has played Test and limited overs cricket for the Zimbabwe national cricket team and first-class cricket for a variety of Zimbabwean sides in the Logan Cup. He holds an Irish passport. In January 2022,in the opening fixture of the series against Sri Lanka,Ervine played in his 100th One Day International (ODI) match.
The Mashonaland Eagles is one of five cricket Zimbabwean cricket franchises. They are based in the Harare Metropolitan and Mashonaland Central area and play both first-class and limited overs cricket. They play their home matches at Harare Sports Club in Harare.
Calum Walter Price is a domestic and former Zimbabwean Under-19 cricketer. Along with the likes of Keegan Meth and Kyle Jarvis,he is regarded as a great future pace prospect for Zimbabwe. Price belongs to a sporting family;his cousin Ryan Higgins,regarded as the second best leg spinner Zimbabwe has produced before taking an early retirement,played ODIs for Zimbabwe and his cousin Dylan captained the Under-19 side at the 2010 World Cup in New Zealand.
Ryan Ponsonby Burl is a Zimbabwean cricketer who plays for the national side. He made his international debut for Zimbabwe in February 2017.
Ryan Murray is a Zimbabwean cricketer. He made his Twenty20 debut for Zimbabwe against Free State in the 2016 Africa T20 Cup on 9 September 2016. Prior to his Twenty20 debut,he was part of Zimbabwe's squad for the 2016 Under-19 Cricket World Cup.
The Afghan cricket team toured Zimbabwe between January and February 2017. The tour consisted of five One Day International (ODI) matches. Ahead of the ODI series,the Afghanistan A cricket team played five "unofficial" List A ODI matches against the Zimbabwe A cricket team. Afghanistan won the List A series 4–1 and the ODI series 3–2.
Dylan Higgins is a Zimbabwean cricketer who played 3 List A matches for Matabeleland Tuskers and Mid West Rhinos.His debut first class match saw him collect an impressive 11 wicket hall including 6 wickets in the first innings and 5 in the second innings. He was later selected to captain Zimbabwe at the International Cricket Council U19 World Cup in New Zealand.
The Pakistan cricket team toured Zimbabwe in July 2018 to play five One Day International (ODI) matches. All the fixtures were played at the Queens Sports Club,Bulawayo. Originally,the tour was scheduled to have two Tests,three ODIs and two Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is).
The United Arab Emirates cricket team toured Zimbabwe in April 2019 to play four One Day International (ODI) matches. It was the first time that the United Arab Emirates played a Full Member side in a bilateral series.
The Zimbabwe cricket team toured Australia in August and September 2022 to play three One Day International (ODI) matches. The ODI series formed part of the inaugural 2020–2023 ICC Cricket World Cup Super League. Zimbabwe last toured Australia in the 2003–04 cricket season to play two Test matches and an ODI tri-series along with India. In May 2022,Cricket Australia confirmed the fixtures for the tour,with all the matches taking place at the Riverway Stadium in Townsville.
The Ireland cricket team toured Zimbabwe in January 2023 to play three One Day International (ODI) and three Twenty20 International (T20I) matches. Zimbabwe won the T20I series 2–1. The ODI series was drawn 1–1 after the final match ended with no result due to rain.
