Ryan Kinsley (born 25 September 1998) is an English motorcycle speedway rider. [1]

Career

Kinsley began his British career riding for the Kings Lynn junior team in 2015. [2] [3] In 2019, he re-signed for Mildenhall Fen Tigers as a replacement for broken leg victim Danny Ayres. [4]

In 2021, Kinsley rode in the top tier of British Speedway, riding for the King's Lynn Stars in the SGB Premiership 2021. The same season his career suffered a setback after his vand and bikes were stolen but luckily was able to retrieve them. [5] [6]

In 2022, he rode for the Scunthorpe Scorpions in the SGB Championship 2022 and Mildenhall Fen Tigers during the 2022 National Development League speedway season. [7] In 2023, he joined the Oxford Chargers as a replacement for the injured Nathan Stoneman [8] and he went on to win NDL league title with Oxford, defeating Leicester in a one-off Grand Final. [9]

The 2017 National League speedway season was the third tier/division of British speedway.

The National League speedway 2019 now known as the National Development League for the 2019 season was the third tier/division of British speedway. There were several team changes for the 2019 league season with reigning league champions and KO cup winners Eastbourne Eagles, along with the Birmingham Brummies, moving into the SGB Championship. Coventry Bees, who rode their home meetings at Leicester the previous season, did not enter the league, but Leicester Lions entered a team. Cradley Heathens fully entered the league after the previous season National Trophy only commitment, while the Buxton Hitmen decided not compete and only run open meetings (friendlies). It was announced on Tuesday 10 September before the end of the 2019 National Development League season that Stoke Potters' home venue at Loomer Road Stadium had been sold and that the team would not be operating in 2020.

The 2023 National Development League was the third division/tier of British speedway for the 2023 season. It was a semi-professional development league, containing mainly the junior sides of SGB Premiership and SGB Championship clubs. Leicester Lion Cubs were the defending champions having won the title in 2022. Oxford Chargers won the title, defeating Leicester in a one-off Grand Final.
