New York Yankees

On May 19, 2022, Miller's contract was purchased by the New York Yankees organization. [11] In 25 appearances for the High–A Hudson Valley Renegades, Miller posted a 2–3 record and 5.75 ERA with 50 strikeouts across 36 innings. [12]

Boston Red Sox

On December 7, 2022, Miller was selected by the Boston Red Sox in the minor league phase of the Rule 5 draft. [13] Miller made 41 appearances for the Double–A Portland Sea Dogs, working to a 5–3 record and 4.03 ERA with 67 strikeouts across 60+13 innings pitched. [14]

Los Angeles Angels

On December 6, 2023, the Los Angeles Angels selected Ryan Miller in the minor league phase of the Rule 5 draft. [15] He made 34 appearances for the Triple–A Salt Lake Bees in 2024, posting a 5–1 record and 2.45 ERA with 61 strikeouts over 62+13 innings of work. On August 27, 2024, Miller was selected to the 40-man roster and promoted to the major leagues for the first time. [16] He made his MLB debut that day against the Detroit Tigers, tossing a scoreless inning of relief. [17] He became the fifth Sioux Falls Canaries alumnus to play in MLB after his stint; ironically, the only other former Canary currently in MLB, John Brebbia was designated for assignment the same day. In 13 games during his rookie campaign, Miller logged a 4.15 ERA with 11 strikeouts over 13 innings pitched. He was designated for assignment on November 7, to create room on the 40-man roster for Kyle Hendricks. [18] Miller was released by the team on November 12. [19]
