Ryan Shea (born February 11, 1997) is an American professional ice hockey defenseman currently playing for the Pittsburgh Penguins of the National Hockey League (NHL).
Shea attended Boston College High School and played junior hockey with the Youngstown Phantoms of the United States Hockey League (USHL) before he was selected by the Chicago Blackhawks in the fourth-round, 121st overall, of the 2015 NHL Entry Draft.
Shea played collegiate hockey with Northeastern University of the Hockey East, and after completing his tenure with the Huskies he became a free agent after the Blackhawks exclusive rights expired. On August 19, 2020, Shea was signed to a two-year, entry-level contract with the Dallas Stars. [1]
As a free agent following three seasons within the Stars organization, Shea was signed to a one-year, $775,000 contract with the Pittsburgh Penguins on July 1, 2023. [2]

Shea after completing his first professional season was added to the American national team to compete in the 2021 IIHF World Championship in Riga, Latvia. [3] He collected 1 assist in 3 games for the United States, helping collect a Bronze medal in defeating Russia in the third place playoff. [4] [5]

Ryan Suter is an American professional ice hockey defenseman for the St. Louis Blues of the National Hockey League (NHL). He is also the owner of the Madison Capitols of the United States Hockey League (USHL). He has previously played for the Nashville Predators, Minnesota Wild, and Dallas Stars. Internationally, Suter has represented the U.S. national team at the 2010 Winter Olympics.

The Pittsburgh Penguins 2006–07 season was rife with potential, as the team featured one of the largest groups of young stars in the National Hockey League (NHL). Evgeni Malkin, the second overall pick in the 2004 NHL entry draft, came to the United States from Russia prior to the season and joined the team. He promptly became the first NHL rookie since 1917 to score goals in each of his first six games. Malkin and second-year phenom Sidney Crosby were joined by 18-year-old Jordan Staal, who made the jump directly from the Ontario Hockey League (OHL) to the Penguins roster after being drafted second overall in the 2006 NHL entry draft. The Penguins also brought back Mark Recchi via free agency, giving Recchi his third stint with the team. It would also be the first season the team would have involving defenceman and soon-to-be alternate captain Kris Letang.
Ryan Patrick McDonagh is an American professional ice hockey defenseman and alternate captain for the Tampa Bay Lightning of the National Hockey League (NHL). Drafted in the first round, 12th overall, by the Montreal Canadiens in 2007, he played college hockey for the Badgers at the University of Wisconsin–Madison. He also played for the New York Rangers, for whom he served as team captain from October 2014 until being traded to the Lightning in 2018. McDonagh won back-to-back Stanley Cups with the Lightning in 2020 and 2021, before spending two seasons with the Nashville Predators.
