John Abbott College is an English-language public college located in Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue, Quebec, Canada, near the western tip of the Island of Montreal. John Abbott College is one of eight English public colleges in Quebec. The college primarily serves the Greater Montreal Region. The CEGEP shares grounds with McGill University's Macdonald Campus.
Thomas Joseph Gola was an American basketball player and politician. He is widely considered one of the greatest NCAA basketball players of all-time. Gola was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 1976.
The Concordia Stingers are the athletic teams that represent Concordia University in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. They compete with other schools in Canadian Interuniversity Sport, and more specifically in Réseau du sport étudiant du Québec. The Stingers were established in 1974 when Sir George Williams University and Loyola College merged to form Concordia University and replaced the preceding Sir George Williams Georgians and Loyola Warriors.
Francis Joseph Dunphy is an American college basketball coach, who is the head coach of the La Salle Explorers of the Atlantic 10 Conference. He is the former men's basketball coach at Temple University and the University of Pennsylvania. He succeeded John Chaney in 2006 and was succeeded by Aaron McKie in 2019. In June 2020, Dunphy was named interim athletic director of Temple. In 2022, he was named the men's basketball coach of the La Salle Explorers.
Dwight Walton is a former basketball player from Montreal, Quebec,Canada. He began his Basketball journey at Wagar High School in 1979 under the tutelage of Don McEwen and Jim Aiken and he received his High School Diploma in 1982. Dwight then attended Dawson College, a CEGEP in Montreal, which is equivalent to the Prep School system, where he was named an All Canadian in 1986. He then attended Siena College for the 1986-87 season and was named the North Atlantic Conference Rookie of the Year. He then transferred to the Florida Institute of Technology from 1987-91, received his Bachelor’s Degree in Business/Management and was a 3 time All American. Dwight is also in the Florida Tech Sports Hall of Fame, the Sunshine State Conference Hall of Fame and is on the Sunshine State Conference 25th Anniversary Team.

Thomas Conley was an American football player and coach of football and basketball. Conley played college football at the University of Notre Dame from 1928 to 1930. He was the captain of the 1930 Notre Dame Fighting Irish football team, which won a national championship. Conley was named a Second Team All-American as an end that year. He served as the head football coach at La Salle University from 1931 to 1932 and at John Carroll University from 1936 to 1942, compiling a career college football coaching record of 33–34–7. Conley was also the head basketball coach at La Salle from 1931 to 1933 and at John Carroll from 1936 to 1943, tallying a career college basketball mark of 86–87. He worked as an assistant football coach in charge of the ends at his alma mater, Notre Dame, from 1933 to 1935. A native of Philadelphia, Conley attended Roman Catholic High School there.
Marco Januz "Juno" Sauler is a basketball coach and former basketball player from the Philippines. He was a former head coach of the De La Salle University Green Archers, a collegiate team in the UAAP. Sauler is currently part of coaching staff of the Magnolia Hotshots in the Philippine Basketball Association.
The Toronto Varsity Blues Men's Soccer is a Canadian intercollegiate soccer team and was founded in 1879. They are representing the University of Toronto. The program operates in the Ontario University Athletics conference of U Sports, and the team competes in the East Division of the OUA. The Varsity Blues play their home games at Varsity Stadium, a 4000-seat stadium situated in downtown Toronto on the University of Toronto-St. George Campus.
The U Sports East–West Bowl is an annual preseason Canadian university football all-star game which showcases the top U Sports football prospects in the country who will be eligible for the following year's CFL Draft. The East–West Bowl is organized by the Canadian University Football Coaches Association (CUFCA) with the support of the Canadian Football League (CFL). It brings together over 90 of the top U Sports football players for a week of practices and evaluation, culminating with the annual all-star game. A national committee of U Sports head coaches selects the participants from a pool of players nominated by their respective universities. Players who are generally in their third year of eligibility are the prime candidates for nomination. Every U Sports football program is represented by a minimum of three and a maximum of four players who will be eligible for the CFL draft the following year. Each school submits a list of six players they nominate. A committee of U Sports coaches and CFL representatives review the nominations and determine who gets invited.
Saadia Ashraf is an American football coach for Team Canada, Team Quebec, and the Montreal Blitz Football Organizations. She is also a former championship quarterback of Team Canada, Team Quebec and the Montreal Blitz. She has a Bachelor of Education degree in Physical Education from McGill University, and works as a high school teacher in Montreal. She also actively coaches youth girls and boys flag football in the high school GMAA/RSEQ league. Joly has competed at the college level in both the United States and Canada, with Sheridan College and Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM). As a professional, he has played in both the NBL Canada and Vietnam Basketball Association (VBA), most notably winning the 2016 VBA championship and earning international MVP honors.
