Dawn Michelle Staley is an American basketball Hall of Fame player and coach who is currently the head coach for the South Carolina Gamecocks. Staley won three Olympic gold medals with Team USA as a player and later was head coach of another U.S. gold-medal winning team. Staley was elected to carry the United States flag at the opening ceremony of the 2004 Summer Olympics. After playing point guard for the University of Virginia under Debbie Ryan, and winning the gold medal at the 1996 Summer Olympics, she went on to play professionally in the American Basketball League and the WNBA. In 2011, fans named Staley one of the Top 15 players in WNBA history. Staley was inducted into the Women's Basketball Hall of Fame in 2012. She was elected to the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 2013.

Powell was inducted into the National Lacrosse Hall of Fame in 2017.
Carla Werden Overbeck is a retired American soccer player and longtime member and captain of the United States women's national soccer team. She is currently an assistant coach of Duke University's women's soccer team, where she has been coaching since 1992, overseeing Duke's defensive unit principally. She was inducted into the National Soccer Hall of Fame in 2006.
Tony Resch is a retired lacrosse player, and current field and box lacrosse coach. He is the former head coach of the Philadelphia Wings of the National Lacrosse League from 1994 to 2001, and led the Wings to four Championships. Resch was named to the NLL Hall of Fame in 2008. Resch returned to coaching as the head coach of the Philadelphia Barrage of Major League Lacrosse. Resch graduated from Yale University, where he was a two-time All-American and three-time First Team All-Ivy League player.
William Beroza is an American lacrosse goalie, coach and member of the National Lacrosse Hall of Fame.
Tom Ryan is a lacrosse coach and former professional player. He is currently an assistant collegiate coach at St. Lawrence University. Ryan is the former head coach of the Boston Blazers of the National Lacrosse League.

The North Carolina Tar Heels men's lacrosse team represents the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I men's lacrosse. North Carolina currently competes as a member of the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) and plays its home games at Fetzer Field and Kenan Memorial Stadium in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. Their main rivalry series is with fellow ACC member Duke.
The High Point Panthers are the 16 varsity athletic teams that represent High Point University (HPU) in High Point, North Carolina, United States. All of HPU's varsity teams compete at the NCAA Division I level. All sports except men's lacrosse compete in the Big South Conference. The men's lacrosse team joined the Southern Conference July 1, 2014. The Panthers joined Division I in 1999, after having been NCAA Division II and being members of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) prior to 1992. HPU was a founding member of the North State Conference, which is now the NCAA Division II Conference Carolinas.
Clayton Albert "Bud" Beardmore was an American lacrosse coach. As head coach at the University of Maryland, Beardmore led the Terrapins to two NCAA tournament championships in 1973 and 1975. He was inducted into the National Lacrosse Hall of Fame in 1980.
John Lamon is a 1975 graduate of Wroxeter High School where he was an outstanding lacrosse player. While at Wroxeter Lamon was a 3 time all Anne Arundel County selection, 2 time All-American selection, and 2 time all metro selection. He then continued his lacrosse career at the University of Maryland from 1976-1979. While at the University of Maryland, Lamon’s team appeared in the Final Four each season he was on the team. He also earned All-American honors in the 1978 and 1979 seasons, All Atlantic Coast Conference honors in 1979, and was selected as Captain of the South team in the honorable North South game in 1979. As of 2010, Lamon still remains in the top 20 all time Assists and Points for the University of Maryland.

Sarah Forbes is a volunteer women's lacrosse assistant coach at the University of Maryland. Originally from the Wembley Lacrosse Club in Perth, Western Australia, Forbes played for the University of Maryland Terrapins, and won three national championships as a player. She was a three-time All-American, and was named the ACC Female Athlete of the Year in 1997.
Roy D. Simmons Jr. is a former American lacrosse coach who was the head coach of the Syracuse Orange men's lacrosse team from 1971 to 1998. Simmons' teams won the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Men's Lacrosse Championship six times, and appeared in the national semifinals 16 consecutive seasons. He won the F. Morris Touchstone Award for the coach of the year in NCAA men's lacrosse in 1980, and was inducted into the National Lacrosse Hall of Fame in 1991.
Bill Miller was a three-time first-team All-American NCAA lacrosse player at Hobart College from 1988 to 1991.
Jeffrey "Jeff" Cook was an All-American lacrosse player at Johns Hopkins University from 1979 to 1982.
Stephen Patrick DeMaine Kelly is an American lacrosse player who plays for Cannons Lacrosse Club of the Premier Lacrosse League (PLL). Kelly plays as a midfielder and face-off specialist and scored the first goal in PLL history in 2019. Kelly was selected to play in the 2021 PLL All Star Game in San Jose, California.
Jenny Levy is the University of North Carolina women's lacrosse head coach and a 2021 inductee into the National Lacrosse Hall of Fame. She is the only head coach in the history of the University of North Carolina women's lacrosse program, and, as of 2021, was in her 26th season as the head coach. She has led the team to three national championships and has twice been named the National Coach of the Year. She was also named as the head coach of the United States women's national lacrosse team in November 2017.
