Ryan Edward Watkins (born 9 June 1983) is a Welsh cricketer. He played for Glamorgan as a left-handed batsman and a right-arm medium-pace bowler. [1]
As a teenager,he captained Gwent and Wales before signing a development contract with the Welsh County side.
Watkins made his debut in 2005 and contributed with both the bat and the ball during 2006,when he was consistently in the first XI.
In 2009,he became the first Glamorgan to take five wickets in a Twenty20 match when recording figures of 5/16 against Gloucestershire,but was released by the club at the end of that season. [2]
After his cricket career,he worked as a policeman. [2]

Steven Llewellyn Watkin is a former Welsh cricketer who played for Glamorgan County Cricket Club and the England cricket team. A reliable seam bowler who never suffered serious injury despite several lesser niggles,he played three Test matches in 1991 and 1993,and four One Day Internationals in 1993 and 1994. He was one of the Wisden Cricketers of the Year in 1994,the only one of that year's five who was not Australian.

Glamorgan Wanderers are a Welsh rugby union club based in Ely,west Cardiff in Wales. The club is located just to the north of Western Cemetery. They currently play in the WRU Admiral Championship. Glamorgan Wanderers began as the Old Monktonians,formed by ex-pupils of Monkton House School in 1893. In 1913 the team changed their name to Glamorgan Wanderers to reflect the wider intake of their membership. He appeared in 50 first-class matches as a left-handed batsman who bowled slow left arm orthodox spin. He scored 300 runs with the highest score of 27 and took 77 wickets with a best performance of six for 93.
Welsh Fire are a franchise 100-ball cricket side based in the city of Cardiff.
