Early life and career

S. A. Zaidi was born and raised in the United Arab Emirates, but is originally from Pakistan. [1] [6] His father Dr. Syed Azhar Ali Zaidi, is a prominent Urdu literature pioneer. [7] [8] [9]

His first film The Sons of Two Suns, [2] [10] premiered at Gulf Film Festival, Dubai International Film Festival and had its US premiere at Boston Science Fiction Film Festival [11]

In 2016 S. A. Zaidi released his film Aerials in cinemas across the United Arab Emirates. It was recognized as the first science fiction film in the Middle East. [3] [12] [1]

He founded the company Fat Brothers Films together with Emirati film producer Ghanem Ghubash. [13] [1]

Nujoom Alghanem is an Emirati poet, artist and film director. She has published eight poetry collections and has directed more than twenty films. Alghanem is active in her community and is considered a well established writer and filmmaker in the Arab world. Her achievements in the arts have been recognized both nationally and internationally. She is the cofounder of Nahar Productions, a film production company based in Dubai. Currently she works as a professional mentor in filmmaking and creative writing, as well as a cultural and media consultant.

Mariam Behnam

Mariam Behnam was an Iranian-born Emirati writer, diplomat and women's rights activist. After graduating from high school and beginning her career as a teacher in Pakistan, she returned to Iran and began to work on social improvement projects first in Teheran and later in Bandar Abbas. In the 1960s, she returned to Pakistan and served for eight years as a cultural attaché establishing cultural centers, libraries and promoting Iranian culture. She was honored with the Iranian Order of the Crown and a Pakistani badge of courage for remaining in the country and continuing her work during the Indo-Pakistani War of 1965, when other diplomats fled the country. Returning to Iran in 1972, she worked with the Ministry of Arts and Culture in the Sistan and Baluchestan Province and later the Hormozgan Province developing programs to preserve and promote the cultural heritage of the areas.

She was chosen as the “Ambassador of Knowledge” at the UAE Red Crescent, and in 2019 was selected among 50 influential accounts in social media. She works on developing the personal skills of employees of various government agencies in the United Arab Emirates.
