Syed Muhammad Zafar (born 6th of December 1930) is one of the more prominent Pakistani human rights activists,a noted lawyer (Senior Advocate Supreme Court),a politician and a former member of the Senate of Pakistan. For some time,he was affiliated with the Pakistan Muslim League (Q). [3]
Zafar began his career as a lawyer in the 1950s. [4] He played an important role during the 1958 imposition of martial law in Pakistan and again in forcing amendments to Constitution of Pakistan of 1962,which at first did not have sufficient protections for basic human rights. After serving as a judge of the high court and as Pakistan's Minister for Law and Justice from 1965 to 1969, [2] Zafar retired from the government in 1968 and started his own law practice. [4]
Zafar and a few of his contemporaries founded the Human Rights Society of Pakistan in 1976. [4]
He was awarded an honorary PhD degree in law at the University of the Punjab's 124th convocation. He retired from active law practice in 2014. [2]
After retirement from his official government service in 1968,he has been a frequent commentator on current affairs in Pakistan. [3] [5]
Zafar was born on 6 December 1930 in Rangoon,Burma,where his father worked in the construction business. [6] His family hailed from the town of Shakargarh in Punjab. Following the Japanese occupation of Burma,his family returned to their native village in 1944. [6]

Muhammad Latif Khosa is a politician representing Pakistan People's Party who had been the Governor of Punjab from 2011 until 2013. He is a lawyer by profession,having been a senior advocate in the Supreme Court of Pakistan and is considered an authoritative legal and constitutional expert of the country. A former senator and a former Attorney General of Pakistan,Latif Khosa was appointed as the Governor of Punjab by the President of Pakistan after the murder of late-Governor Salman Taseer on 11 January 2011. He was appointed the attorney general on 19 August 2008. Khosa also remained Member Pakistan Bar Council for three terms 1990-2005 and served as Chairman of the Executive Committee (CEC) of Pakistan Bar Council. He co-authored an electoral fraud report with former prime minister Benazir Bhutto shortly before her assassination in December 2007. Khosa had been one of Bhutto's top aides.
Zaheer-ud-din Babar Awan,is a Pakistani politician,senior lawyer,author,analyst,columnist,and leftist writer who served as Adviser to Prime Minister for Parliamentary Affairs from April 2020 to 10 April 2022,and before that as the Federal Law Minister in the cabinet of former Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gillani. Zafar Mehmood Mughal is a Pakistani Lawyer,He was elected as Chairman Executive of Punjab Bar Council for the year 2011-12. He has been Member Punjab Bar Council for the term 2010-14. both Zafar Mehmood Mughal and Muhammad Lehrasib Khan Gondal were elected unopposed as Punjab Bar Council’s chairman executive and vice chairman,respectively in 2011-12 Elections. He has set the record of being elected as member of Punjab bar council for the second time as in the history of Pakistan no one has ever won for the second time. After Chairman Executive,he was selected as Deputy Attorney General of Pakistan. Recently he also elected as the President of high court. Zafar Mehmood Mughal became the president of the Lahore High Court Bar Association,Rawalpindi bench. He secured 965 votes while Ghulam Mustafa Kandwal took 571,Sarkar Abbas 471 and Ghufran Khurshid Imtiazi sixteen votes.

Khalid Anwer is a Pakistani lawyer,jurist and constitutional expert who previously served as the federal Minister for Law,Justice and Human Rights following his appointment in 1997.
