Soundararaja Iyengar Parthasarathy (died 1965) was an Indian journalist who served as editor-in-chief of The Hindu from 1959 to 1965. [1]
Parthasarathy was born in Madras, British India to civil servant, S. Soundararaja Iyengar. Soundararaja Iyengar was the second son of Sesha Iyengar; he was the younger brother of S. Srinivasa Raghavaiyangar and the elder brother of S. Kasturi Ranga Iyengar. Parthasarathy had his education in Madras and joined The Hindu as sub-editor in September 1924.
Parthasarathy gradually became Assistant Editor and on the death of its chief editor, K. Srinivasan in 1959, became its editor-in-chief with G. Narasimhan as Managing-Director. Parthasarathy served as Chief Editor until his own death in 1965. Parthasarathy was known for his moderate views. During his tenure as editor, the newspaper following a safe path and avoided controversy.
Parthasarathy died in 1965 and was succeeded by G. Kasturi as editor-in-chief.

Narasimhan Ram, also known as N. Ram, is an Indian journalist and a prominent member of the Kasturi family that controls The Hindu Group of publications. Ram was the managing-director of The Hindu since 1977 and its editor-in-chief since 27 June 2003 until 18 January 2012. Ram also headed the other publications of The Hindu Group such as Frontline, The Hindu Business Line and Sportstar, and has been awarded the Padma Bhushan by the Government of India and Sri Lanka Ratna by the Government of Sri Lanka.

The Besant v. Narayaniah Case is a suite filed by Jiddu Narayaniah, father of J. Krishnamurti in 1912 against theosophist Annie Besant for the custody of his son. The case argued for Narayaniah by C. P. Ramaswami Iyer was won by him and was a cause célèbre of the time though Besant later appealed to the Privy Council of the United Kingdom and got a ruling in her favour. Besant and C.P. Ramaswami Iyer who were in opposing camps during the trial eventually became friends after the case got over and jointly participated in the Home Rule Movement.
Malini Parthasarathy is an Indian journalist, who was formerly editor of The Hindu and is currently the chairperson of The Hindu Group's Publishing Company, THG Publishing Private Limited, formed from the de-merger of Kasturi & Sons Limited's publishing business. Parthasarathy replaced N. Ravi for the position of editor. She resigned from the post on 5 January 2016.
