S. Vaidyanathan (born 17 August 1962) is an Indian Judge,who is a former Chief Justice of Meghalaya High Court. He has previously served as a Judge of the Madras High Court. [1]

The Meghalaya High Court is the High Court of the state of Meghalaya. It was established in March 2013,after making suitable amendments in the Constitution of India and North-Eastern Areas (Re-organisation) Act of 1971. Earlier,a bench of the Gauhati High Court had jurisdiction over the state of Meghalaya. The seat of the High Court is at Shillong,the capital of Meghalaya. This court has four permanent judges,including the Hon'ble Chief Justice,and three Hon'ble Judges.

On transfer to Karnataka,Justice Maheshwari took oath as 30th Chief Justice of High Court of Karnataka on 12 February 2018. He took oath as Judge of the Supreme Court of India on 18 January 2019.

He was born on 14 February 1959 and hails from Panapakkam Village,Vellore District in Tamil Nadu. He was overlooked and V. Ramasubramanian was chosen over him as a Supreme Court Judge. The Central Government has approved the appointment of former Chief Justice of Manipur High Court,Justice Ramalingam Sudhakar as the president of the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) for a period of five years in October 28,2021. Justice Sudhakar has been appointed for a period of five years from the date of appointment or till he attains the age of 67 or until further orders,whichever is earlier.
