Line S4 is a line on the Munich S-Bahn network. It is operated by DB Regio Bayern. It runs from Geltendorf station to Ebersberg station via Pasing, central Munich, Munich East and Grafing station.
The line is operated at 20-minute intervals between Grafrath or Buchenau and Grafing station. Two out of three trains an hour continue from Buchenau to Geltendorf and from Grafing station to Ebersberg, so that the gap between trains alternates between 20 and 40 minutes. It is operated using class 423 four-car electrical multiple units, usually as two coupled sets. In the evenings and on Sundays they generally run as single sets.

S-Bahn services on line S 4 between Geltendorf and Ebersberg commenced on 28 May 1972. For a period up to 2009, the section from Munich East to Ebersberg was operated as the former line S 5.

Trains reverse in Munich East station and, in order for S-Bahn services from St Martinstraße to be inserted into the S-Bahn line while simultaneously reversing to run into the S-Bahn tunnel under central Munich or vice versa, the line between Munich East station and the flying junction between München-Giesing and Fasangarten stations is one of the few in Germany that has traffic running on the left.
Line S6 is a line on the Munich S-Bahn network. It is operated by DB Regio Bayern. It runs from Tutzing station to Zorneding via Starnberg, Pasing, central Munich and Munich East.
Line S7 is a line on the Munich S-Bahn network. It is operated by DB Regio Bayern. It runs from Wolfratshausen via Höllriegelskreuth, central Munich, Höhenkirchen-Siegertsbrunn and Aying to Kreuzstraße. Trains reverse in Munich East station and, in order for S-Bahn services from St.-Martin-Straße to be inserted into the S-Bahn line while simultaneously reversing to run into the S-Bahn tunnel under central Munich or vice versa, the line between Munich East station and the flying junction between München-Giesing and Fasangarten stations is one of the few in Germany that has traffic running on the left.
Munich-Moosach station is a railway station in the Moosach district of Munich, the capital of the German state of Bavaria. It consists of an above-ground station for regional and Munich S-Bahn services and an underground station for the Munich U-Bahn.
The Munich–Rosenheim railway is a 65 kilometre-long double-track main line of the German railways. It connects Munich Hauptbahnhof with Rosenheim station, where it connects with the Rosenheim–Salzburg railway, which connects with the line to Vienna at Salzburg, and the line to Kufstein, which continues to Innsbruck and the Brenner line to Italy. The Treuchtlingen–Würzburg railway is a 140 km long main line in the northwest of the German state of Bavaria. It runs from Treuchtlingen in southern Middle Franconia through Gunzenhausen, Ansbach, Steinach, Marktbreit and Ochsenfurt to the capital of Lower Franconia, Würzburg. Grafing station is on the Munich–Rosenheim railway and is the beginning of the Grafing–Wasserburg railway to Wasserburg.
Mühldorf (Oberbayern) station is a railway junction and station in the district town of Mühldorf in the German state of Bavaria. The station has seven platform tracks and is classified by Deutsche Bahn as a category 4 station. The station is served by 105 passenger trains each day operated by the Südostbayernbahn and frequented by about 10,000 travellers. It is also the central station of the “Bavarian Chemical Triangle”. About 800 freight wagons are dispatched from it daily.

It has two platform tracks next to a central platform. The station is located in the network area of the Münchner Verkehrs- und Tarifverbund and is served by line 7 of the S-Bahn, which is operated by Deutsche Bahn.
Line S20 is a line on the Munich S-Bahn network. It is operated by DB Regio Bayern. It runs from München-Pasing station to Höllriegelskreuth. It runs on a connecting line from Pasing to München Mittersendling station that has a platform at München Heimeranplatz station, but does not have a platform at München Harras, although the track here lies directly next to the Munich–Holzkirchen line. It is operated during peak hours from Monday through Friday. It is operated using class 423 four-car electrical multiple units.
Line S8 is a line on the Munich S-Bahn network. It is operated by DB Regio Bayern. It runs from Herrsching via Weßling, Pasing, central Munich and Munich East to Munich Airport station.
The Munich–Buchloe railway is a double-track, electrified main line in Bavaria, Germany. The 60 kilometre-long line runs from Munich Pasing via Geltendorf and Kaufering to Buchloe. Together with the Buchloe–Kempten–Lindau line, it is known as the Allgäubahn. The line is owned and maintained by DB Netz.
