The SCW Tag Team Championship was a professional wrestling tag team championship in Southern Championship Wrestling (SCW). It remained active until early-1990 when SCW was closed.

The inaugural champions were "Wildfire" Tommy Rich and Ted Oates, who defeated Bob Orton, Jr. and "Dirty" Dick Slater in a tournament final in 1988 to become the first SCW Tag Team Champions. Thunder & Lightning (Steve Lawler and Dino Minelli) holds the record for most reigns, with two. At 68 days, Thunder & Lightning's first reign is the longest in the title's history. Overall, there have been 12 reigns shared between 11 wrestlers, with one vacancy, and 1 deactivation.

Thunder and Lightning is a Puerto Rican professional wrestling tag team consisting of Reynaldo Rodriguez and Alex Cruz under the ring names Thunder and Lightning respectively. They currently work for World Wrestling Council.

Turnbuckle Championship Wrestling was a Southeastern independent professional wrestling promotion based in Marietta, Georgia. It was founded by retired wrestler and former NWA World Heavyweight Champion Dusty Rhodes in 2000 and, during its three years in operation, held events throughout the Southern United States in Virginia, Tennessee, Florida, Georgia and Alabama; it was especially popular in Atlanta, Georgia and Dothan, Alabama where the promotion regularly held events. TCW also cooperated with rival independent promotions by holding interpromotional shows with Florida Championship Wrestling. The promotion, at its height, had a successful weekly television series in the Atlanta-Macon, Georgia area and had planned to air one live pay-per-view event before its close in 2003.

He has been a mainstay of regional and independent promotions in the Southern United States since the early 1980s, especially in Georgia and the Carolinas, having wrestled for Deep South Wrestling, Southern Championship Wrestling, Georgia All-Star Wrestling, North Georgia Wrestling Association, Peach State Wrestling and Dusty Rhodes' Turnbuckle Championship Wrestling. In recent years, he has appeared with other NWA veterans for the recently revived Georgia Championship Wrestling.

Southern Championship Wrestling (SCW) was a professional wrestling promotion that held events in the Southeastern United States, especially in eastern and central North Carolina, from November 1994 to November 2004, when it was run by Greg Mosorjak. The promotion was based in Raleigh, North Carolina, with offices in Fuquay Varina and Lenoir, North Carolina.

Southern Championship Wrestling (SCW) was a professional wrestling promotion that was founded in Marietta, Georgia by Jerry Blackwell and operated from 1988 to 1990, and was continued by his successor, Joe Pedicino, who ran the promotion as Georgia All-Star Wrestling for another year.

The SCW Tag Team Championship was a professional wrestling tag team championship in Southern Championship Wrestling (SCW). It remained active until November 20, 2004 when SCW was closed.

The PLW Tag Team Championship is a professional wrestling championship in Power League Wrestling. It is the tag team championship of the PLW promotion, and one of three championship titles.

Kasey Geyer, also known by the ring name K.C. Thunder, is an American semi-retired professional wrestler, promoter and trainer. He was one of the top "heel" performers in the Southern United States during the 1990s. Geyer is perhaps best known for his tenure in Southern States Wrestling where he is a former SSW Heavyweight Champion and a five-time SSW Tag Team Champion with real-life cousins Beau James and Steve Flynn. He was also a member of Count Grog's stable "The Brotherhood" in Southern Championship Wrestling and was the promotion's first-ever SCW North Carolina Champion.
