Saarya Laxman (born September 25, 2002) is an actress of Indian origin acclaimed for her roles in Telugu film industry. She marked her initial appearance with the Telugu film Mem Famous in 2023, [1] directed by Sumanth Prabhas.

Personal life

Laxman is from Guntur, Andhra Pradesh, India. She settled in Hyderabad and she maintains cultural affiliations with Andhra Pradesh, given her proficiency in the Telugu language. She pursued her education at St. Joseph High School in Hyderabad for her schooling and earned her degree from Sri Venkateshwara College, Delhi University. [2] While pursuing her B.Com studies in Delhi, she developed an interest in modeling and went on to feature in over many commercial ads. Her father is involved in real estate, while her mother, Susheela, is a homemaker. She possesses linguistic abilities, fluently speaking Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, and English. [3]

Career

Laxman gained fame through the folk song "Nacchinavuro," and afterward, her screen presence and compelling acting skills quickly garnered attention from both audiences and critics. Her lively portrayal of the character Mounika in Mem Famous [4] showcased her ability to connect with the audience and earned her accolades in the competitive industry. [5] [6]

She also wrote the song of Mem Famous, "Ayyayyo". [7] [8]

Laxman's debut film, Mem Famous , [9] directed by Sumanth Prabhas, centers around three friends aspiring for fame, with Saarya portraying the female lead character of Mounika, a girl entangled in a love story within the comedic narrative. [10] [11]
