Sabitha Jayaraj is an Indian costume designer and actress, who works in Malayalam cinema.
Sabitha started off her career as a costume designer in the Malayalam film industry in the 90s. She worked as a designer in 9 Malayalam feature films as well as a Hindi feature film, one of which Kannaki (film), won her the Kerala State Award for Best Costume Design. Later on she started appearing in small roles in films and took up the lead role in Pakarnnattam opposite Jayaram. [1] In 2017 she appeared in the short film, Prakriti, told through the point of view of a photographer, played by herself, who is on a tour of Kuttanad. [2] She played the role Moly a compassionate mother in Jayaraj's award-winning movie Ottal.
Sabitha Jayaraj is married to filmmaker Jayaraj and has collaborated in several of his works. [3] They have two children together, Dhanu Jayaraj and Keshav Jayaraj. [4]

Celluloid is a 2013 Indian Malayalam-language biographical film co-produced, written, and directed by Kamal, starring Prithviraj Sukumaran, Sreenivasan, Mamta Mohandas, and Chandni in the lead roles. The film is a biopic based on the life story of J.C. Daniel, the father of Malayalam cinema, the making of his film Vigathakumaran, and the story of Vigathakumaran's heroine P. K. Rosie. The film is particularly based on Life of J. C. Daniel, a biography of J. C. Daniel written by Chelangatt Gopalakrishnan. The filming started in November 2012, and the online posters were done by a 16-year-old boy, Aswin, which went viral on social media. It was released in February 2013. The film opened with positive reviews and received seven Kerala State Film Awards, including Best Film and Best Actor (Prithviraj). The movie received many awards and much appreciation with the support of All Lights Film Services (ALFS), a leading film festival consultancy. The film was a blockbuster at the box office.

Bhayanakam is a 2018 Indian Malayalam–language period drama war film directed by Jayaraj, produced by Sureshkumar Muttath, and stars writer-turned-actor Renji Panicker and Asha Sarath. The film is an adaptation of two chapters from Takazhy Sivasankara Pillai's epic Malayalam novel Coir (1978). The production design for the film was carried out by artist K. M. V. Namboothiri. The film is the sixth movie in director Jayaraj's "Navarasa Series".
