Farhan Akhtar is an Indian actor, filmmaker, writer, dialogue writer, singer and songwriter who works in Hindi films. I is a 2015 Indian Tamil-language romantic action thriller film co-written and directed by S. Shankar. Produced and distributed by V. Ravichandran under his production company, Aascar Films, the film features Vikram, Amy Jackson and Suresh Gopi in lead roles while Santhanam, Upen Patel, Ojas Rajani and Ramkumar Ganesan portray pivotal roles. Told in nonlinear narrative, the film tells the story of a bodybuilder turned supermodel named Lingesan, who turns into a Hunchback by the hands of his enemies by using a Virus. After being deformed, he exacts revenge upon those who were responsible for his predicament. Parts of the film were loosely based on The Hunchback of Notre Dame and Beauty and the Beast. The soundtrack and film score were composed by A. R. Rahman.
Irudhi Suttru is a 2016 Indian sports drama film written and directed by Sudha Kongara. Filmed simultaneously in Tamil and Hindi, with the latter being titled as Saala Khadoos, the film stars R. Madhavan as boxing coach who is ignored by the boxing association, tries to accomplish his dream by training an amateur boxer, Madhi, played by Ritika Singh in her acting debut. Both the Tamil and Hindi versions are produced by S. Sashikanth for YNOT Studios and UTV Motion Pictures, while C. V. Kumar's Thirukumaran Entertainment and Dream Factory distributed the Tamil version and the Hindi version was jointly distributed by Madhavan himself under the Tricolour Films banner along with Rajkumar Hirani Films.

Shanmugam under the banner of Avni Cinemax and Benzz Media (P) Ltd. The film stars Jiiva, Jai and Srikanth in the lead roles, while Malvika Sharma, Amritha Aiyer, Raiza Wilson, Aishwarya Dutta, Samyuktha Shanmuganathan and Dhivyadharshini appear in prominent roles. The film's music and score is composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja, with cinematography handled by E. Krishnasamy and editing done by Fenny Oliver. This was the posthumous film of noted actor-director Pratap Pothen, who died on 15 July 2022 from natural causes.
