Saado Ali Warsame was a Somali-American singer-songwriter and politician. She served as a lawmaker in the Federal Parliament of Somalia representing Puntland State of Somalia. A prominent figure in traditional Somali music,her art and legislative work were centered on political and social justice. She was killed by Islamists in Mogadishu.
Hirshabelle,officially Hirshabelle State of Somalia,is a Federal Member State in south-central Somalia. It is bordered by Galmudug state of Somalia to the north,South West State of Somalia and Banadir region to the south,Ethiopia to the west and the Indian Ocean to the east. Jowhar is the capital state.

The Battle of Tukaraq in 2018 saw the Somaliland National Army engage Puntland forces in Tukaraq,a town in the eastern Sool region,on the road between the regional capitals of Las Anod and Garowe. The ensuing heavy clashes resulted in Somaliland ousting the Puntland army from the town. The battle was significant as it was the first time both forces clashed directly.
