Saga is an American MC who grew up in Canarsie, Brooklyn, New York [1] and now resides in Red Hook, Brooklyn, New York. He is from Italian American and Puerto Rican descent. [2] He is the son of Richard Quarantello, a former gang member, musician and writer. [3] He is a vegan of fifteen years, [2] and practices yoga and meditation.
Saga first song to ever release is "Think Of You Now" produced by close friend Marco Polo (producer) [1] who invited him on his compilation album fr:The Stupendous Adventures of Marco Polo released on Duck Down Music.
"For a long time it just felt like the music industry was just – like I was on the shore and I was just watching the ships set sail. It was such a departure from the music that I love, from the version of Hip Hop that I love." [2]
A few years later, Saga and producer Marco Polo kept working progressively on more music without any pretensions at first but then having a full batch of tracks that became a 10 songs album called "From Out of the Shadows". [4] In March 2015, The first single of this project "City Streets" [5] featured Roc Marciano then the full 10 songs album came out in April 2015. [6]
In May 2015, Saga released an EP titled "Saga Ghanoush" which is an hommage to Alchemist "Israeli Salad" instrumental album. [7]
Since then Saga has been releasing series of single with producers like Marco Polo, Ayatollah, Exile and French producer 20Syl.
Saga announced for 2017 an upcoming EP with Chicago producer Thelonious Martin and an album with Virginia native Grammy Award-winning producer Nottz.

The Elephant Man's Bones is the first full-length collaborative studio album by American rappers and record producers Roc Marciano and The Alchemist. It was released on August 26, 2022, through Pimpire/ALC Records. Produced entirely by the Alchemist, it features guest appearances from Action Bronson, Boldy James, Ice-T and Knowledge the Pirate. The album was supported by its lead single "Deja Vu" with accompanying music video. A music video was also directed for the song "The Horns of Abraxas". The Elephant Man's Bones received universal acclaim from critics.
Marciology is the tenth studio album by American rapper and producer Roc Marciano released on March 29, 2024 through Pimpire Records and Marci Enterprises. The album marks his first solo release in four years since 2020's Mt. Marci. It was proceeded by one single, "Gold Crossbow", which was released on March 21st. Production was handled primary by Marciano himself with additional production from Animoss and The Alchemist. The album contains guest appearances from Larry June, Crimeapple, T.F, Flee Lord, Jay Worthy, Knowledge the Pirate and GREA8GAWD. Marciology received positive reviews from critics, noting its eerie, neo-noir inspired soundscapes and sharp, witty rhymes.
