Saheba Subramanyam is a 2014 Indian Telugu-language film starring newcomer Dilip Kumar and Priya Gor (in her Telugu debut). It is a remake of the 2012 Malayalam film Thattathin Marayathu . This film was directed by Sasi Kiran Narayana who is the daughter of actor M. S. Narayana. [1] [2]

Reception

A critic from The Times of India rated the film 1.5 out of 5, saying, "This movie tests your patience and gets on to your nerves. If you love challenges, accept this. If you shy away from this challenge, you are simply being wise." [3] A critic from 123telugu rated the film 2.75 out of 5, saying, "On the whole, Saheba Subramanyam is a decent attempt from a debut director". [4]

The director shot the film in 15 days. Noted director V. V. Vinayak worked as an assistant director for this film. The film was a box office flop although Soundarya's performance was praised.

The supporting cast includes Aju Varghese, Manoj K. Jayan, Sunny Wayne, Sreeram Ramachandran, Bhagath Manuel, Manikuttan, Sreenivasan, and Niveda Thomas. The film was produced by actors Mukesh and Sreenivasan. The film is about a Hindu boy, Vinod, and a Muslim girl, Aisha, and the conflict arising out of this inter-faith relationship.

"Muthuchippy Poloru" is a Malayalam song composed by Shaan Rahman that featured in the film Thattathin Marayathu. The lyrics was written by Anu Elizabeth Jose. It was sung by Sachin Warrier and actress Remya Nambeesan. The song was one of the most popular Malayalam songs of 2012 and won several awards. It was later reused in the Telugu remake of Thattathin Marayathu, Saheba Subramanyam, as "Muddu Muddu".
