Saheed Idowu (born 3 January 1990 in Brazzaville) is a Congolese table tennis player. [1] He competed at the 2012 Summer Olympics in the Men's singles, but was defeated in the preliminary round. [2]
Idowu competed in the 2018 ITTF African-Cup, placing second in group 2 behind Quadri Aruna, dropping the group match to Aruna (1-3),allowing him to qualify for the Quarter Finals. In the Quarter Finals, Idowu faced and defeated African Table Tennis legend Segun Toriola (4-2). In the Semi Finals, Idowu lost to eventual winner Omar Assar, dropping four straight games (0-4). He was then paired against Ahmed Saleh in the placement round, losing that match (1-3), finishing the tournament in fourth place. [3]
Like most modern Table Tennis players, Idowu favors a forehand attacking style. His forehand loop is noted as appearing rather relaxed and unorthodox.
Michael Maze is a professional table tennis player from Faxe, Denmark, in men's singles and doubles. In 2005 he was one of the top five left-handed players in the world. His strength was in his strong forehand loop and lobbing. He was one of the best defensive lobbers in the world. The Table Tennis World Cup has been held annually since 1980. There had been only men's singles until the inauguration of women's singles in 1996 and team competitions in 1990. The team competitions, the Team World Cup were canceled until the relaunch in 2007, and now held in odd-numbered years. The competitions are sanctioned by International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) and classified as R1 in rating weightings, B2 in bonus weightings in the ITTF world ranking.

Omar Muhammadi Muhammad Muhammad Assar is an Egyptian table tennis player. He won silver in singles and gold in team play at the 2011 Arab Games in Doha. He also competed at the 2012 and 2016 Summer Olympics in the Men's singles, but was defeated in the second round on both occasions.
