The House of Representatives of the People or Majles-e-Namayendagan Afghanistan in Persian and Wolesi Jirga in Pashtu and Turkic, is the lower house of the bicameral National Assembly of Afghanistan, alongside the upper House of Elders.
Kuz Kunar is a district in the north of Nangarhar Province, Afghanistan, on the Kunar River. It is counted one of the more secured districts of the Nangarhar province, where many foreigners go to visit the social, agricultural and structural rehabilitation of the area. Its population, which is 75% Pashtun, was estimated at 167,640 in 2002, of whom 32,000 were children under 12.
Khas Kunar or Sarkani(sarkano) District is the largest district in the Kunar Province, Afghanistan. It is situated in the southern part of the province and borders Nangarhar Province to the south and Pakistan to the east. The Kunar River passes north through the district and irrigates the surrounding land. The population is 31,000 (2006). The district center, Khas Kunar village is located at 34.6458°N 70.9008°E at 749 m altitude. Most of the houses were destroyed during the wars and the drought also has seriously affected the lands far from the Kunar River.

A report on Kandahar prepared at the Navy Postgraduate School stated he is from the Pashtun ethnic group. He is a tribal elder from Spin Boldak, who sits on the Armed Service Committee.
Hajji Ameer Lali امیر لالی was elected to represent Kandahar Province in Afghanistan's Wolesi Jirga, the lower house of its National Legislature, in 2005. A report on Kandahar prepared at the Navy Postgraduate School stated he was a member of the Pashtun ethnic group, from the same Popolzai tribe as President Hamid Karzai. They stated he was a "demobilized local commander". He sits on the Armed Services Committee.
Habibullah Jan was elected to represent Kandahar Province in Afghanistan's Wolesi Jirga, the lower house of its National Legislature, in 2005. A report on Kandahar prepared at the Navy Postgraduate School stated he was a "sometimes rival of [President] Karzai". The report asserted his assassins were Taliban. He sat on the "Kandahar Security Shura".
Mohammad Arif Noorzai was a former minister of Border and Tribe Affairs for Afghanistan. He was elected to represent Kandahar Province in Afghanistan's Wolesi Jirga, the lower house of its National Legislature, in 2005. He is the first deputy speaker of Afghanistan Wolesi Jirga and his current position is the Advisor of President Hamid Karzai for security and tribal affairs He is a member of the Pashtun ethnic group, and the Noorzai tribe. A report on Kandahar prepared at the Navy Postgraduate School stated he is first deputy speaker, and that he is related to President Hamid Karzai through marriage, and that he is a high school graduate.
Mullah Sayyad Mohammad was selected to represent Kandahar Province in Afghanistan's Meshrano Jirga, the upper house of its National Legislature, in 2005. He is a member of the Pashtun ethnic group from the Barakzai tribe. A report on Kandahar prepared at the Navy Postgraduate School stated he is from the "Payam-e-Solh political faction". It states he sits on the armed services committee. It states he has a bachelor's degree.
Mohammad Omar Shairzaad was selected to represent Kandahar Province in Afghanistan's Meshrano Jirga, the upper house of its National Legislature, in 2005. It states he has a bachelor's degree.

A report on Khost prepared at the Navy Postgraduate School stated that he was a member of the Pashtun ethnic group. It stated he had a ninth grade education. It stated he was "associated with Hezbi Islami. It stated he sat on the Legislatures Communications Committee.
Haji Saleh Mohammad was selected to represent Kunar Province in Afghanistan's Meshrano Jirga, the upper house of its National Legislature, in 2005. A report on Kunar prepared at the Navy Postgraduate School stated that he was "affiliated with Sedaqat". He was the chair of the Armed Services Committee.
Al-Haj Sahib Rahman was elected to represent Kunar Province in Afghanistan's Wolesi Jirga, the lower house of its National Legislature, in 2005. He was assassinated by a suicide bomber on November 6, 2007.

It stated that prior to her election she had been the head of an orphanage. It stated that she sat on the Disabled and Martyrs Committee. It stated she was a widow whose husband was assassinated. It stated that she was a high school graduate, who once traveled to Paris.
Hameedullah Khan Tokhi was elected to represent Zabul Province in Afghanistan's Wolesi Jirga, the lower house of its National Legislature, in 2005.
Jamil Karzai was elected to represent Kabul Province in Afghanistan's Wolesi Jirga, the lower house of its National Legislature, in 2005. A report on Kabul prepared at the Navy Postgraduate School stated Jamil Karzai is a second cousin to President Hamid Karzai. It stated he was head of the National Youth Solidarity Party. It stated he sat on the Internal Security Committee.
Shuja ul-Mulk Jalala, also known as Ghulam Rasul, is a politician in Afghanistan. He is the governor of Kunar Province, appointed by President Hamid Karzai on July 15, 2013 after a suggestion by the Independent Directorate of Local Governance (IDLG). Previously, he served as advisor to President Hamid Karzai on tribal affairs.
