Sakleshpur railway station (Station Code:SKLR) is a railway station located in Hassan district, Karnataka state, India. It serves Sakleshpur town and nearby villages. Sakleshpura railway station is on Mangaluru to Hassan railway line. [2] [3] Sakleshpur railway station comes under jurisdiction Mysuru division of South Western Railway zone( SWR ) of Indian Railways. [4] The gauge conversion from metre gauge to broad gauge railway track from Hassan to Mangalore was financed by Hassan Mangalore Railway Development Company (HMRDC) a joint venture of Karnataka state government and Indian railways. [5]

Hampankatta is the centre of Mangalore City, Karnataka. Hampankatta also called as Happananakatte/Hampankatte/Hampananakatte/Hampanakatte. Most of the public utilities are located here and the locality boasts the most buzzing commercial activity in the city. Hampanakkatte was named by the British in 1920. Its original name was 'Appanakatte'. It was named after a person called Appanna Poojary who constructed a 'well' in the region around 1900, hence it was named Appannakatte. Yedakumari is the place in Sakleshpur taluk in the midst of western ghats in the state of Karnataka, India. There is a railway station here. The place lies en route Mangalore to Bangalore railway line and is the most fascinating stretch of the green route. The gauge conversion from metre gauge to broad gauge of railway track(line) between Hassan and Mangaluru was financed by Hassan Mangalore Rail Development Company (HMRDC) a joint venture of Government of Karnataka and Ministry of Railways. The train running in between these two cities generally halt at Yedakumari for technical reasons. Yedakumari railway station has become resting place for trekkers who are trekking the western ghats following the railway tracks. There are reports of movement of Wild Elephants and other wild animals along this railway track.

Mangalore Central railway station (station code: MAQ) is an NSG–3 category Indian railway station in Palakkad railway division of Southern Railway zone. It is the main railway terminus in the city of Mangalore which lies in the heart of the city. It is one of the major railway stations in Karnataka state and it is the biggest terminal station under Palakkad railway division. There is also another railway station named Mangalore Junction railway station, previously known as Kankanady railway station. Donigal is a village in Hassan district of Karnataka state, India. Donigal village is nestled in the Western Ghats forests of India. The National Highway 75 connecting Mangaluru to Saleshapura passes through this village. There is a railway station at Donigal on Mangalore-Hassan-Mysore line.
