Salameh Hammad (born 1944) is a Jordanian politician who has served as Minister of the Interior in the government of Jordan a number of times. He held the position from 1993 to 1995,from 1995 to 1996,from 2015 to 2016,from 2016 to 2017 and lastly from May 2019 until October 2020.
Hammad was born in Amman in 1944. He studied law at the University of Baghdad in Iraq. [1]
He oversaw the 1989 general elections as secretary-general of the Interior Ministry. In 1990,while in the same position,he dealt with the refugee flux from Kuwait to Jordan,which was caused by the Gulf War. [2] [3] Hammad was Minister of the Interior from 1993 to 1995 and again from 1995 to 1996. [1]
He was again appointed as Interior Minister on 19 May 2015 after the resignation of Hussein Al-Majali two days earlier. [1] On 19 April 2016 he was replaced by Mazen Qadi. [4] [5] When Abdullah Ensour was replaced as prime minister in June 2016 by Hani Al-Mulki,Hammad returned as Interior Minister. [6] In a cabinet reshuffle on 28 September 2016 Hammad retained his position. [7] In another cabinet reshuffle,Hammad was replaced by Ghaleb Zu'bi on 15 January 2017. [8] [9]
Hammad once more returned as Minister of Interior on 9 May 2019,when he was appointed to replace Samir Mubaidin in a cabinet reshuffle by Prime Minister Omar Razzaz. [10] [11] This happened at the same time as a change of the chiefs of the security agencies in Jordan. [12] With the formation of Bisher Al-Khasawneh's Cabinet he was replaced by Tawfiq Al Halalmeh on 12 October 2020. [13]
Hani Fawzi Mulki is a Jordanian politician that held several ministerial and diplomatic positions,and he was Chief Commissioner of the Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority before his designation as the 41st Prime Minister of Jordan by King Abdullah II and approval by the House of Representatives on 29 May 2016.
Wajih Mousa Owais is a Jordanian Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research. He was appointed as Minister in February 2011. In 1972,he got his B.Sc. in the field of biology from the American University of Beirut. In 1975,he got his M.Sc. in the field of biochemistry from the University of Jordan. In 1979,he obtained his Ph.D. in the field of molecular genetics from Washington State University.
Hussein Hazza' Majali is a Jordanian general and a former minister who served as Jordan's Interior Minister and Minister of Municipal and Rural Affairs from 30 March 2013 to 17 May 2015.

Rida Shibli Khawaldeh is a Jordanian academic and politician. He was Minister of Agriculture in the government of Hani Al-Mulki between 1 June 2016 and 28 September 2016,when he left the government in a cabinet reshuffle and was replaced by Khaled Hneifat. Khawaldeh was subsequently appointed to the Senate.
Jawad Anani is a Jordanian economist and politician. After working for the Central Bank of Jordan in the 1960s and 1970s he held high ranking positions in the civil service. He has held several ministerial posts since 1979,including a four-year stint as Minister of Labour between 1980 and 1984. During the early 1990s he held positions as Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs and Minister of Information,and was involved in the peace-process between Jordan and Israel. During the later half of the decade he was Deputy Prime Minister for Development Affairs,Foreign Minister and Chief of the Royal Court. From June 2016 until January 2017 he was Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs in the cabinets of Hani Al-Mulki.

After the September 2016 general election,Mulki formed a new cabinet. On 18 December 2016,a series of shootings took place in the city of Al-Karak in southern Jordan. The attack started in the vicinity of Al-Karak where a group of unidentified militants ambushed emergency responders and then moved into the city,attacking police patrols and the local police station and finally seeking shelter in the historic Crusader-era Kerak Castle,a popular tourist attraction.
The 2018 Jordanian protests started as a general strike organized by more than 30 trade unions on 30 May 2018 after the government of Hani Mulki submitted a new tax law to Parliament. The bill followed IMF-backed austerity measures adopted by Mulki's government since 2016 that aimed to tackle Jordan's growing public debt. Although Jordan had been relatively unscathed from the violence that swept the region following the 2011 Arab Spring,its economy had taken a hit from the surrounding turmoil and from an influx of a large number of Syrian refugees into the country. Jordan also hosts a large contingent of Iraqi and Palestinian refugees,further straining its finances. The UNHCR places Jordan as the world's second largest host of refugees per capita.
Omar Razzaz is a Jordanian politician who served as the 42nd Prime Minister of Jordan from June 14,2018 to October 12,2020. He was designated to form a new government on 5 June 2018 after his predecessor resigned as a result of widespread protests against IMF-backed austerity measures in the country.

Prime Minister Bisher Al-Khasawneh was tasked with forming a cabinet on 7 October 2020. He was sworn in along with his cabinet on 12 October 2020. The two exceptions were Minister of State Mahmoud Kharabsheh who had been tested positive for COVID-19,and Minister of State for Follow-up and Government Coordination Nawaf Wasfi Tell who had to follow quarantine requirements after return from abroad.
