Dr. Gergely "Gergő" Kiss is a Hungarian former water polo player. He was considered to be one of the best left-handed water polo players of his time. Roy Allen Saari was an American swimmer and water polo player. He qualified for the 1964 Summer Olympics in both disciplines, and chose swimming, as the Olympic rules of the time did not allow him to compete in two sports. He won a gold medal as a member of the first-place U.S. team in the 4×200-meter freestyle relay, setting a new world record in the final with teammates Steve Clark, Gary Ilman and Don Schollander (7:52.1). Individually he earned a silver medal in the 400-meter individual medley (4:47.1). He also advanced to the finals of the 400-meter freestyle and 1,500-meter freestyle, placing fourth and seventh, respectively. Before the Olympics Saari became the first person to break the 17 minute barrier over 1500 m, but in the Olympic final he was suffering from a cold and clocked a mere 17:29.2.
Thomas Hoad is an Australian water polo coach and former player. In 1968, he was appointed to International Swimming Federation (FINA), the world governing body for swimming and was chairman of the 1998 World Swimming Championships held in Perth, Western Australia. He is currently a director of the national controlling body Australian Water Polo. He currently coaches juniors at Melville and at a state level in WA.

Kenneth Monfore "Monte" Nitzkowski was an American former competition swimmer and water polo coach. He represented the United States in the 200-meter butterfly at the 1952 Summer Olympics in Helsinki, Finland, where he finished with the eleventh-best time overall. Nitzkowski acted as the U.S. water polo assistant coach at the 1968 Olympics and was appointed head coach for the 1972, 1980 and 1984 games.
Jeffrey "Jeff" Powers is an American water polo player. He was an All-American at the University of California, Irvine. He played for the United States national team at the 2004, 2008, and 2012 Summer Olympics, helping the team win the silver medal in 2008.

István Szívós Sr. was a Hungarian water polo player. He was part of the Hungarian teams that won gold medals at the 1952 and 1956 Olympics and placed second in 1948. At the 1956 Olympics he also took part in the 200 m breaststroke swimming competition, but failed to reach the final. In 1997 he was inducted into the International Swimming Hall of Fame, one year later than his son István Jr., who competed in water polo at the 1968–1980 Olympics. He was given the honour to carry the national flag of Hungary at the opening ceremony of the 1980 Summer Olympics in Moscow, becoming the 14th water polo player to be a flag bearer at the opening and closing ceremonies of the Olympics.
András Bodnár is a former Hungarian water polo player and freestyle swimmer who competed in the 1960 Summer Olympics, 1964 Summer Olympics, 1968 Summer Olympics and 1972 Summer Olympics. He is one of eight male athletes who won four or more Olympic medals in water polo.
István Antal Szívós, also known as István Szívós Jr. was a Hungarian water polo player. He competed in four consecutive Olympics in 1968–1980 and won a medal in each of them, becoming one of eight male athletes who won four or more Olympic medals in water polo. He also won six gold or silver medals at world and European championships and nine national titles. Between 1966 and 1980 he played 308 international matches for Hungary. In 1996 he was inducted to the International Swimming Hall of Fame, one year earlier than his father István Sr., who won Olympic gold medals in water polo in 1952 and 1956.
Béla Komjádi was a Hungarian water polo player and coach.
László Schell is a Hungarian retired ice hockey official. He officiated more than 1,500 games in Hungary between 1967 and 1990, and was one of the busiest International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) officials from 1977 to 1982 at the Ice Hockey World Championships. His career was recognized with induction into both the IIHF Hall of Fame, and Hungarian Ice Hockey Hall of Fame.
