The University of South Dakota (USD) is a public research university in Vermillion, South Dakota. Established by the Dakota Territory legislature in 1862, 27 years before the establishment of the state of South Dakota, USD is the flagship university for the state of South Dakota and the state's oldest public university. It occupies a 274 acres (1.11 km2) campus located in southeastern South Dakota, approximately 63 miles (101 km) southwest of Sioux Falls, 39 miles (63 km) northwest of Sioux City, Iowa, and north of the Missouri River.

Bill Snyder Family Stadium is a stadium in Manhattan, Kansas. It is used for American football, and is the home field of the Kansas State University Wildcats football team. It is named after the family of head coach Bill Snyder. Over the past 31 seasons – from 1990 through the 2022 season – K-State is 169–51–1 (.767) at home.

Salina High School Central, often referred to as Salina Central, is a fully accredited public high school located in Salina, Kansas, serving students in grades 9–12. The school was known as Salina High School before the opening of Salina High School South in 1971. Located at 650 East Crawford in the city of Salina, the school is attended by Salina USD 305 students living north of Republic Avenue. The athletic programs compete in the Ark Valley Chisholm Trail League of the 5A division according to the KSHSAA. The Salina High School Central campus is home of the Salina Stadium.
The University of Saint Mary (USM) is a private Catholic university in Leavenworth, Kansas, United States. It is sponsored by the Sisters of Charity of Leavenworth, who established it in 1923 as Saint Mary College. Though it was originally a school for women, the school is now coeducational. The mother house of the order is also on the premises. The university offers 26 bachelor's degree programs and six master's degree programs.
Dave Dallas is an American football coach and former player. He was the head football coach at Kansas Wesleyan University until he resigned after completion of the 2013 season. From 1989 to 1996, Dallas was the head football coach at Ottawa University. From 2014 to 2016 he was the head coach at North County High School in Bonne Terre, Missouri.
The Samford Bulldogs are the 17 varsity teams that represent Samford University in NCAA Division I athletics. The men's basketball team made its first NCAA Tournament appearances in 1999 and 2000. They were led by Reed Rawlings, Marc Salyers, and Chris Weaver. The women's basketball team made its initial NCAA tournament appearance in the 2011 NCAA Women's Division I Basketball Tournament and made its second consecutive appearance in the tournament in 2012. The baseball team made its first NCAA tournament appearance in the 2012 NCAA Division I baseball tournament, reaching the finals of the Tallahassee Regional.

The Wildcats previously competed in the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference (KCAC) from 1902–03 to 1970–71.
Gene Bissell Field, in Salina, Kansas, is the home field for the Kansas Wesleyan University Coyotes football and soccer teams. The field at the former Glenn L. Martin Stadium at KWU was officially named Bissell Field on October 8, 1994, in a ceremony preceding the Homecoming football game that day against Friends University, in Franklin Gene Bissell's honor. The day was also proclaimed as "Gene Bissell Day" by then Salina mayor Joe Warner. The field was rededicated in his honor on October 2, 2015, prior to the inaugural game at the Graves Family Sports Complex on the KWU campus signifying the long-lasting impact that Bissell had on students, athletes, faculty and the community.
