Eden Park is New Zealand's national stadium,with a capacity of 50,000. Located in central Auckland,New Zealand's largest city,it is three kilometres southwest of the CBD,on the boundary between the suburbs of Mount Eden and Kingsland. It opened in 1900. The south stand was rebuilt for the 2011 Rugby World Cup. The Australian Women's Cricket Championships was a women's cricket competition which ran from 1931 until 1996. It usually operated as a first-class competition,with matches played over two days. Later editions included limited overs cricket instead of,or alongside,two-day matches.
The Australian women's cricket team toured England and Ireland in June and July 2001. The matches against England women's cricket team were played for the Women's Ashes,which Australia were defending. Australia won all three ODIs and both Test matches,meaning they retained the Ashes. After their tour of England,Australia played three ODIs against Ireland,defeating them 3–0.
