Sally Skull was a band from Scotland, formed in 1994. The band reformed in 2015 until Scrivener and Holling formed The Nettelles. They were influenced by garage and Riot grrrl.

Bassist and vocalist Saskia Holling was credited as a key figure in the Scottish scene in which the band performed and is considered one of the first promoters in Scotland to intentionally book all-women line-ups. [1] [2]

Pretty Girls Make Graves is a post-hardcore band formed in Seattle in 2001, named after The Smiths' song of the same name. Andrea Zollo and Derek Fudesco had played together previously in The Hookers, as well as The Death Wish Kids and Area 51 along with Dann Gallucci, with whom Derek had formed Murder City Devils. Not long before the Murder City Devils disbanded, Derek and Andrea formed Pretty Girls Make Graves along with Jay, Nick and Nathan. They played the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in 2004. The band announced its split on January 29, 2007, with their final two shows taking place in Seattle that June.

Since Yesterday tells the story of the women who pioneered as members of all-girl bands in Scotland from the 1960s-2010s and asks the questions 'why are they not remembered?' and 'what would have happened if they were?'. It takes a critical look at the structural barriers and risks female musicians face in the music industry.

The Twinsets were an early 80's Scottish indie band from Edinburgh fronted by two peroxide-blonde sisters, Gaye and Rachel Bell.
