Salvation Station is the second full-length studio album from Canadian CCM band Newworldson, released on February 12, 2008. [3] Christianity Today voted Salvation Station number 3 on their list of Best Christian Albums of the year 2008. [4] It was also selected as one of the twenty best albums of 2008 by Cross Rhythms. [5] The album hit number 26 on Billboard magazines's Top Heatseekers chart in 2008, and 34 on the Top Christian Albums chart. [6]

Contents

The album won the 2008 Gospel Music Association Canada Covenant Award for Folk/Roots Album Of The Year. [7] It also received a nomination for Contemporary Christian/Gospel Album Of The Year at the Juno Awards of 2009.

All the songs were written by Joel Parisien, Mark Rogers, Richard Moore and Joshua Franklin Toal, except "Borderline", written by Joel Parisien, Mark Rogers, Richard Moore, Joshua Franklin Toal and Jonah Nadir Omowale. Salvation Station was preceded by a five track sampler that was sold at concerts prior to the album's release.

Steve Bell (musician)

Steve Bell is a Canadian singer/songwriter and guitarist based in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. He is among the best-known Christian musicians in Canada and is an accomplished songwriter and record producer. Before embarking on his solo career he was a long-time member of the group Elias, Schritt and Bell. In 1989, Bell founded the independent recording label Signpost Music along with Dave Zeglinski, long-time friend and co-producer. His first solo album, Comfort My People, was released on Signpost that same year. Bell now has twenty albums to his credit. Among his many awards are two Junos, several GMA Canada Covenant Awards and the 2012 Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal.

Rob Wilson better known by his stage name Fresh I.E. is a Christian rap artist from Winnipeg, Manitoba. His albums Red Letterz and Truth is Fallin' in tha Streetz were both nominated for Grammy Awards. Wilson is the first Canadian Christian artist to have been nominated for a Grammy Award. He has won several GMA Canada Covenant Awards including Rap/Hip Hop Song of the Year for World Vision (2006). Wilson founded the recording label Kingdom Music Inc. in 2006.

Jon Buller is a Contemporary Christian artist from Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. He now resides in Vernon, British Columbia, where he works as Pastor of Worship and the Arts at Vernon Alliance Church, a position he began in August 2005. Buller founded Hear the Music Ministries (HTM) in 1999; HTM is "committed to discipling and developing emerging Christian musicians, expressing worship through music."

DecembeRadio is the eponymous major label debut album by the band DecembeRadio. Produced by Scotty Wilbanks, the album features a guitar-driven sound that quickly earned it comparisons to The Black Crowes, King's X, Aerosmith and Free. This Moment is the fourteenth studio album by the Christian singer Steven Curtis Chapman. It was released on October 23, 2007, through Sparrow Records. "Cinderella" was released as a radio single and became popular in the United States, charting in the Top 10 on Christian Radio. Other radio singles were "Yours", which became a No. 1 single, and "Miracle of the Moment", which charted in the Top 10.

Mike Farris (musician) American musician

Mike Farris is an American musician. He was the founder and lead singer of Screamin' Cheetah Wheelies but has been a solo act since 2001. He has put out four studio releases as well as a one live record as Mike Farris and the Roseland Rhythm Revue, as well as a charity EP as Mike Farris and the Cumberland Saints. His music is diverse but tends to be rooted in early American gospel and blues. He released the album Silver & Stone on September 7, 2018 to critical acclaim.

Manic Drive

Manic Drive is a Canadian Christian rock band, formed in 2004 by brothers Michael and Shawn Cavallo. The Cavallos began singing at the ages of eight and nine. After receiving interest from a record label, they released Reason for Motion in May 2005. Over the last several years, the band has released a variety of albums including, Reset and Rewind (2007), Blue (2009), Epic (2011), VIP (2014) and Into the Wild (2017).

Where's Our Revolution is the third studio album by Canadian singer-songwriter Matt Brouwer. It was released on August 25, 2009 through Universal Music Distribution. The album is Brouwer's most successful release to date and was well received with critics calling it, "...a gorgeous piece of work" and commending Brouwer's songwriting and vocal performance. The hit "Sometimes" reached the top 20 on the Billboard Hot Christian Songs chart and 3 other singles received considerable airplay on Christian radio stations in Canada and the US. The album won a Juno Award in 2010 as it was named best Contemporary Christian/Gospel Album of the year, and was also nominated for seven GMA Canada Covenant Awards, winning the Covenant Award for best song and fan favorite artist of the year. The album was nominated for Gospel Recording of the Year by the East Coast Music Awards and Contemporary Christian/Gospel Album and Song of the Year by the Independent Music Awards.
