Samuel "Sam" Burley (born February 13, 1981, in St. Ignatius, Montana) is an American middle-distance track athlete. He currently holds the American record in the 4x800 m relay along with David Krummenacker, Jebreh Harris, and Khadevis Robinson. Their time, set in 2006, broke the previous world record. [1]

Burley was a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania, where he was a three-time NCAA All-American, the 2003 NCAA national champion in the 800 m, [2] and the 2002 Heptagonal Championships winner in the 1,500 m. After graduation, he competed in the 800 m distance in the 2003 World Outdoor Championships and was 7th at the Olympic Trials in 2004. [3] Most recently, he finished 2nd in the 800 m at the 2007 USA Indoor Track & Field Championships held in Boston, Massachusetts. [4]

Nicholas Symmonds is a retired American middle-distance track athlete, from Boise, Idaho, specializing in the 800 meters and 1500 meters distances. Symmonds signed with Brooks Running in January 2014 after a 7-year sponsorship with Nike. In college at Willamette University he won seven NCAA Division III titles in outdoor track. Symmonds is a 6-time US National 800 meters champion. He has competed in the 800m at two Olympic Games, reaching the semi-finals in Beijing 2008, while in London 2012 he finished fifth in the final, running a personal best of 1:42.95 behind David Rudisha's world record. He won a silver medal in the 800 meters at the 2013 World Championships, having previously finished sixth in the 2009 final and fifth in 2011.

Stanley Floyd is a retired track and field sprinter from the United States. He was a 1979 graduate of Dougherty High School in Albany, Georgia. In 1980, he was considered one of the favorites for the 100m title but was denied his chance due to the United States boycott of the 1980 Summer Olympics.
