Sam Hunt (born August 6, 1951) is an American former professional football player who was a linebacker in the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for the Stephen F. Austin Lumberjacks and was selected by the New England Patriots in the 15th round of the 1974 NFL draft. [1] Hunt also played for the Green Bay Packers. [2] His younger brother Byron also played in the NFL.
