Production

Naveen Chandra made his debut with this film under the stage name of Anji. Shooting for the film began on 18 July 2005. [2] Noel Sean also made his debut with this film in a small role. [3]

Soundtrack

The music was composed by debutante Anil in 2005 and was well received. Lyrics were by Krishna Chaitanya. The audio rights were bagged by Madhura Entertainment. [4]

A critic from Indiaglitz said that "The music director excelled in melodies and instrumental songs which are refreshing and new". [5] A critic from Telugu Cinema opined that "the magic of the music that this album exhibits removes a feel that this is of a standard come-and-go kind standard to this scale of movies". [4] The soundtrack album was in the top five best Telugu albums for 2005. [6] [7] After this film, Krishna Chaitanya worked as a lyricist under Anil for several films. [8]

Release and reception

The film released on 10 March 2006 and was the only film released at the time. [9]

Kishore of Nowrunning wrote that "In every frame of the movie, the director’s as well as the actor’s limitations are blatantly exposed. The saving graces in the movie are the songs and the music". [10] Navya Vaitla of Telugucinema.com wrote that "The director's inability to structure the scenes is major flaw. There is no smooth flow from one scene to another. Much of the film including its premise is very superficial. And it lacks nativity. The second half is quite boring". [11]
