San Fernando Handball is a handball club from San Fernando, Argentina. Currently, they compete in the Femebal and the Campeonato Nacional de Clubes and is the current champion. [2]

History

The club was found 1972 as INEF Manuel Belgrano de San Fernando. Between 16 March 2009 and 1 July 2010 they chanced the name to UNLu. [3] [4] UNLu was short for Universidad Nacional de Luján. In May 2020 they renamed again to the today name San Fernando Handball. [5]

The 2017 Pan American Women's Handball Championship was the 14th edition of the Pan American Women's Handball Championship, held in at the Sociedad Alemana de Gimnasia de Villa Ballester, in Buenos Aires Province, Argentina from 18 to 25 June 2017. It acted as American qualifying tournament for the 2017 World Women's Handball Championship. The event was originally set to be held in Toronto, Canada but the Canadian Handball Federation withdrew, citing lack of funds.

The 2017 Pan American Men's Youth Handball Championship the XIII edition of this tournament took place in Santiago, Chile from 15 to 22 April 2017. It acts as a qualifying tournament for the 2017 Men's Youth World Handball Championship.

The Torneo Nacional de Clubes 2017 was the 42nd edition of the main clubs handball tournament organised by the Confederación Argentina de Handball, it was held between August and September at the cities of Córdoba, Montecarlo and the Final Four at Villa Ballester.

The 2004 Pan American Men's Handball Championship was the eleventh edition of the tournament, held in Santiago, Chile from 20 to 24 July 2004. It acted as the American qualifying tournament for the 2005 World Championship, where the top three placed team qualied.

The Primera División Femenina officially named Liga Femenina, is the top tournament of women's association football in Peru, organized by the Peruvian Football Federation through its Women's Football Commission. The competition, as an official tournament, was created in 1996 under de name of "Campeonato Metropolitano de Fútbol Femenino", followed by the "Campeonato Nacional de Fútbol Femenino" which was renamed later as "Copa Femenina" and currently is designated as "Liga Femenina". The 2023 South and Central American Women's Club Handball Championship the 3rd edition of this tournament was held in São Paulo, Brazil from 6 to 10 June 2023.

Santiago Nicolás Scala is an Argentine basketball player for Diablos Rojos del México of the Liga Nacional de Baloncesto Profesional (LNBP). At a height of 1.87 metres tall, he plays at the point guard position.

The 2024 South and Central American Women's Club Handball Championship the 4th edition of this tournament was held in São José, Santa Catarina, Brazil from 21 to 25 May 2024.
