Sanat Kumar Saha (born 1941) [1] is a Bangladeshi educator, economist and Tagore exponent. [2] [3] He was awarded Ekushey Padak in 2015 by the Government of Bangladesh. [4] He served as a professor of economics at the University of Rajshahi. [5] [6] He is a former member of the board of directors of Bangladesh Bank. [7]

Saha studied at the University of Rajshahi and London School of Economics. [1] In 2006, he retired as a professor from the University of Rajshahi. [1] He had served as a director of Bangladesh Bank from 2010. [1]

Ekushey Padak is the second highest civilian award in Bangladesh, introduced in memory of the martyrs of the Bengali Language Movement of 1952. The award is given to recognize contributions in a number of fields, including culture, education, and economics. The Ministry of Cultural Affairs administers the award.
