Sandra James (born 1990) is an American softball player. [2] [3] She attended Sabine High School in Gladewater, Texas. [4] She later attended Angelo State University for one year, [5] before transferring to Texas Tech University, where she played first base and catcher for the Texas Tech Red Raiders softball team. [6] [7] [8] [9] She holds the single-season record for home runs at both Angelo State [5] and Texas Tech. [10] [11] [12]

Tim Tadlock is a collegiate baseball coach and former player. He served as head coach of the Grayson Vikings representing Grayson County College (GCC) (1997–2005) and the Texas Tech Red Raiders representing Texas Tech University (2013–present). Tadlock guided the Grayson Vikings to back-to-back National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Division I World Series titles in 1999 and 2000. In 2014, Tadlock led his alma mater to their first College World Series appearance and received the Skip Bertman Award, presented to the college baseball coach of the year by the College Baseball Foundation.

The Lady Raiders, were members of the Big 12 Conference and will play their home games at the United Supermarkets Arena. They finished the season 15–16, 5–13 in Big 12 play to finish in last place. They lost in the first round of Big 12 women's tournament to West Virginia.
