Kailashpati Mishra was an Indian politician. He was a leader of Jana Sangh,and later Bharatiya Janta Party. He was Finance Minister of Bihar in 1977. He was Governor of Gujarat from May 2003 to July 2004.

His father,Sanjay Kumar Singh,was MLA from Sheikhpura twice,and his mother,Shrimati Sunila Devi,was MLA of INC twice from the Sheikhpura constituency. Kumar is a life member of the People's Association for Research &Development working in pan India but his major work in Bihar.
