Sanjit Acharya (born 1953) was a Bangladeshi singer, composer, playwright, and lyricist from Chattogram. He is best known for his song O Re Sampanwala, which was used in his play Sampanwala.

Sanjit Acharya was a Bangladeshi singer, composer, playwright, and lyricist from Chattogram. He is best known for his song O Re Sampanwala, which was used in his play Sampanwala. [1] His other notable creations include Amar Moner Bedona Bondhu Chara Jane Na and Banshkhali Moishkhali Pal Uraiya Dile Sampan Gur Gurai Chole. He wrote two plays: Sampanwala and Sonai Bandhu. [1] Both were later turned into films. His music first gained national attention in 1978, when two of his duets with Kalyani Ghosh—"Gura Gura Kotha Hoi Baganer Adale" and "Satya Gori Hao Na Cox's Bazar Loi Jaiba"—were recorded on gramophone. He has written or composed over 1,000 songs. [2] [3]

Md. Khurshid Alam is a Bangladeshi playback singer. His notable songs include Chumki Choleche Eka Pothe, Bondi Pakhir Moto, Maa Go Maa, Miss Lanka, Ajke Na Hoi Bhalobasho, Dheere Dheere Chol Ghora, Chupi Chupi Bolo Keu Jeney Jabe and Jodi Bou Shajo Go. His career has spanned more than four decades, in which he sang over 300 songs. He was conferred the Ekushey Padak from the Government of Bangladesh in 2018 and the Lifetime Achievement Award at the 12th Channel i Music Awards (2017) for his contribution to Bangladeshi film music. "O Prithibi Ebar Ese Bangladesh Ke Nao Chiney", is a song composed by Ibrar Tipu and has been sung by Ibrar Tipu, Arnob, Mila, Balam, Kona and Elita Karim. The lyricist of the song is Zulfiqer Russell. It is the official welcome song for the 2011 Cricket World Cup. It was released worldwide on February 17, 2011, at welcome ceremony of Cricket world cup 2011 held in Bangladesh.
