Rita Lee Jones is a Brazilian rock singer, composer and writer. She is a former member of the Brazilian band Os Mutantes and is a popular figure in Brazilian entertainment, where she is also known for being an animal rights activist and a vegan. She has sold more than 60 million albums worldwide. Her autobiography Rita Lee: Uma Autobiografia was the best-selling non-fiction book of 2017 in Brazil.

La Quinta Estación was a Spanish pop/rock band composed of two musicians from Madrid: Natalia Jiménez and Ángel Reyero (guitar). Pablo Domínguez (2001–2008) was the third member until his recent split. The band originated in Madrid with six members but the remaining three relocated to Mexico in 2001 after recording their first album Primera toma.

La Barranca is a music group based in Mexico City. They are led by guitarist and songwriter José Manuel Aguilera, who previously and concurrently worked with Sangre Azteka, Jaguares, Cecilia Toussaint, Steven Brown/Nine Rain (Tuxedomoon), and more. After the original lineup—Aguilera, Federico Fong (bass), Alfonso Andre (drums), all of whom were guest members of Jaguares with former Caifanes frontman Saúl Hernández—went its separate ways, a second version of the band included Santa Sabina guitar virtuoso Alex Otaola and the rhythm section of brothers Jose María ("Chema") and Alonso Arreola. The band's sound moves from rock to fusion-ish jamming, with Mexican folk influence. On "El Fluir" the band decided to record live and to cut back on the keyboard and programmed additions to their music. "El Fluir" was their first US release since "Tempestad" in 1998. This edition was included a previously unreleased bonus track and a video for the first single "Pare de Sufrir".

His mother, Julissa, was a singer and actress in the 1960s; and his father, Benny, an actor and 1960s rock singer in the Mexican band Los Yaki. His brother, Alejandro Ibarra, is a singer and actor.

In 2007 he started a solo career with the audiovisual CD/DVD 'Fractales'. In 2010 he released a live cd of music for Dziga Vertov's 'Hombre de la Cámara'. 2013 saw the release of the 'iNFiNiTO' app with Mexico's top jazz singer Iraida Noriega.

The big winners of the night were Camila, Juan Luis Guerra and Gustavo Cerati with three awards.

After leaving the group, she was part of Ensamble Galileo, a project dedicated to the interpretation of Baroque music. Guerrero also hosted some television programs and supported various social movements in Mexico, such as the Zapatista Army of National Liberation and the country's electoral left.
