Paramathma is a 2011 Indian Kannada-language romantic comedy film written, directed and co-produced by Yogaraj Bhat. It stars Puneeth Rajkumar and Deepa Sannidhi in the lead roles and was released on 6 October 2011, on the eve of Vijayadashami. Halfway through its production, the film's TV rights was procured for a record ₹3.5 crore. Even before the release, the film grossed a record amount of over ₹25 Cr included broadcasting and distribution rights. Since release, the movie has garnered a cult status for its metaphorical narration and out-of-the box storytelling.
Kariya is a 2003 Indian Kannada-language gangster film written and directed by Prem, starring Darshan and Abinayasri. It narrates the tragic story of a homeless assassin-for-hire Kariya, who falls for Maya, a well educated and rich dancer. Although she tries to convey her feelings, Kariya hesitantly moves away causing her to pledge that she will only reciprocate his feelings if he proclaims his love for her. Meanwhile, a few local thugs try to entrap Kariya and seek vengeance for the death of their friend.
Alemari is a 2012 Indian Kannada romantic action drama film starring Yogesh and Radhika Pandit in the lead roles. The story, screenplay, lyrics and direction is by Hari Santhosh. The music of the film was composed by Arjun Janya. B. K. Srinivas has produced the venture under BK Srinivasa Productions. The film released in theatres across Karnataka on 9 March 2012. However the film is rated as an average, but the director Hari Santhosh fetched best director in Karnataka state film awards 2012–13.
Sharan is an Indian actor and an occasional playback singer and film producer who works in Kannada cinema. He made his acting debut in the mid-1990s and appeared mostly in comedy roles and small supporting roles. However, he earned much recognition during the late 2000s and made his lead role for his 100th film Rambo and since then featuring as the lead actor in comedy films.
Bhajarangi is a 2013 Indian Kannada-language fantasy action film starring Shiva Rajkumar and Aindrita Ray. Directed by choreographer-turned-director Harsha, the film was released on 12 December 2013 and received positive response from critics. Bhajarangi was the highest-grossing Kannada film of 2013. The film was declared a blockbuster at the box office.
Shiva, known by his screen name Sathish Ninasam, is an Indian actor who appears in Kannada films. Having made his film debut with Madesha (2008), Sathish appeared in small but significant roles in films like Manasaare (2009), Pancharangi (2010), Lifeu Ishtene (2011) and Anna Bond (2012). He shot to fame after his performance in Drama (2012). Sathish marked his debut as a hero in his 2013 film Lucia, which received critical acclaim nationally and internationally. Kotigobba 2 in Kannada Mudinja Ivana Pudi in Tamil is a 2016 Indian action film directed by K. S. Ravikumar. The film features Sudeepa and Nithya Menen in the lead roles. The film was simultaneously produced by Rockline Venkatesh and M. Babu in Kannada and Tamil languages. Despite the title, the film is not a direct sequel to the 2001 film, Kotigobba.
Kariya 2 (transl. Blacky) is an Indian Kannada action gangster film directed by Prabhu Srinivas starring Santhosh Balaraj in the title role and Mayuri Kyatari in the opposite lead role. The film is produced by Anekal Balaraj through his production company Santosh Enterprises. The score and soundtrack are composed by Karan B. Krupa while cinematography is handled by Srinivas Dewamsam. Different Danny, Ravi Varma, Mass Madha and Vikram Mor were hired as stunt directors. The movie was dubbed in Hindi as Ghajinikanth. It was reported that the makers had sold the copyrights for the South Korean remake version. This movie is an unrelated sequel to 2003 blockbuster Kariya.
Raajakumara is a 2017 Indian Kannada-language action drama film written and directed by Santhosh Ananddram and produced by Vijay Kiragandur under Hombale Films. It stars Puneeth Rajkumar and Priya Anand. R. Sarathkumar, Ananth Nag, Prakash Raj, Chikkanna, Sadhu Kokila, Achyuth Kumar and Avinash play supporting roles. The film's music album was composed by V. Harikrishna.
Bazaar (transl. Market) is an Indian Kannada action crime film directed by Suni and produced by Thimmegowda under Bharathi Film Productions banner. The film stars Dhanveer Gowda, a debutant and Aditi Prabhudeva in the lead roles along with Sadhu Kokila, Sharath Lohitashwa and Aruna Balaraj in the supporting roles. The film's plot deals with the gambling process involved in the pigeon racing. The film is shot in the real locations across Bengaluru, Mysore and Tumkur where the pigeon races are actually held.
James is a 2022 Indian Kannada-language gangster film written and directed by Chethan Kumar. It stars Puneeth Rajkumar in the titlular role, along with an ensemble cast of R. Sarathkumar, Srikanth, Priya Anand, Anu Prabhakar, Madhusudhan Rao, Mukesh Rishi, Adithya Menon, Avinash, Sadhu Kokila, Chikkanna and John Kokken. This is Puneeth's posthumous appearance following his death on 29 October 2021. The film marked the second collaboration between Puneeth, Priya and Sarathkumar after Raajakumara (2017). The film score and soundtrack were composed by V. Harikrishna and Charan Raj respectively.
Hari Santhosh is an Indian film lyricist and director who predominantly works in the Kannada Film Industry. He is best known for 2012 film Alemari.
Ganapa is a 2015 Indian Kannada-language gangster film, written and directed by Prabhu Srinivas. It stars Santhosh Balaraj and Priyanka Thimmesh. The movie is based on incidents that took place in the Bangalore underworld and shares a similar plot of 2003 Kannada film Kariya. It has been dubbed by Pen Movies in Hindi as Daada Ka Vaada.
Kempa is a 2009 Indian Kannada-language action drama film directed by debutante Jagadish and starring newcomers Santhosh and Thanushika.
Olavina Ole is a 2012 Indian Kannada-language romantic drama film directed by Teshi Venkatesh and starring Santhosh and Neha Patil. The film talks about honour killings. Aruna Balraj won the Karnataka State Film Award for Best Supporting Actress for this film.
