Santiuse Kujur (born 26 October 1973 Village Khokhabasti, Udalguri district, Assam) is an Indian social worker, politician and a Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha) elected from Assam, India being an INC candidate. [1]

He has completed BA From Gauhati University in the year 1995.He joined Bharatiya Janata Party in 2019. [2]

Rajya Sabha Upper house of the Parliament of India

The Rajya Sabha or Council of States is the upper house of the bicameral Parliament of India. As of 2021 it has a maximum membership of 245, of which 233 are elected by the legislatures of the states and union territories using single transferable votes through Open Ballot while the President can appoint 12 members for their contributions to art, literature, science, and social services. Biswajit Daimary is an Indian politician from Bharatiya Janata Party. He is current speaker of Assam Legislative Assembly. He represents Assam in Rajya Sabha as a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party and as a member of the Bodoland People's Front. Lokanath Misra was an Indian politician. He was a member of the Rajya Sabha. He was the Governor of Assam from 1991 to 1997 and held additional charge as Governor of Nagaland from 1992 to 1993. 2016 Indian Rajya Sabha elections

The 2016 Rajya Sabha elections were held as part of a routine six-year cycle among certain of the State Legislatures in India on March 14 and June 11, 2016, to elect 13 and 57 of its 245 members, of which the states through their legislators elect 233, and the remaining 12 are appointed by the President. Being even-numbered, 2016 was a year in which about 30% of the State Legislature-elected 233-seat component of the body is elected.

2020 Indian Rajya Sabha elections Elections for the Upper House of Indian Parliament

2020 Rajya Sabha elections is the set of indirect elections by the members of State legislatures of India, to elect new members to fill vacancies in the Rajya Sabha – the upper house of the Parliament of India. The elections are held annually and throughout the year on an ad hoc basis. The elections in 2020 are for a total of 73 seats of which 55 of them were to be elected by March 26. The remaining were postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The Election Commission of India later announced all the elections for the remaining 24 Rajya Sabha seats were to be held on 19 June 2020.
