The 18th Central American and Caribbean Junior Championships were held in the Estadio Olímpico Félix Sánchez in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, between 2–4 July 2011, and organized by the Federación Dominicana de Asociaciones de Atletismo (FDAA). The event was open for athletes from the invited countries, that are members of the Central American and Caribbean Athletic Confederation (CACAC), in two categories: Junior A Category: 17 to 19 years as of 31 December 2010, and Junior B Category: 14 to 16 years as of 31 December 2010. By IAAF standards, Junior A is equal to Junior, while Junior B is equal to Youth.

"Santo Domingo" is a song originally performed by American recording artist Wanda Jackson. The song was composed by Bert Olden and Joachim Relin and was Jackson's first single released outside of North America. The track was recorded in the German language and released exclusively to German markets as a pop song. "Santo Domingo" became a commercial success in 1965 after reaching major chart positions in several European countries. It was later released on Jackson's 1967 compilation titled Made in Germany.

Same as previous edition, the tournament will featured 20 teams and was held in the Dominican Republic, between 25 February and 12 March 2022.
