Santos Sambajon (born September 10, 1960) is a Filipino professional pool player. His nicknames are "The Little Giant" and "The Saint." [1] Originally from the Philippines, he now resides in the United States.
In 2004, Sambajon was first seen on television playing at the finals of the BCA Open Nine-ball Championship. While he did not win that event, Sambajon dominated the World Summit of Pool, a tournament featured on ESPN several months later, by defeating Mike Davis in the finals. [2]
In 2005, he won the Skins Billiards Championship, another tournament televised on ESPN, by besting Danny Basavich in sudden death. This was Sambajon's greatest win, earning him $73,500, the most he has earned from a single event. [3]
He nearly had the chance to compete in the WPA World Nine-ball Championship in 2004 but could not, due to passport problems. He made his debut at that tournament in 2006.
He served as Efren Reyes's corner man (players who reached the finals of an IPT event get to have someone who would instruct or give them advice during the match) at the final of the 2006 IPT World Open Eight-ball Championship.
Efren "Bata" Manalang Reyes is a Filipino professional pool player. A winner of over 70 international titles, Reyes was the first player to win world championships in two different pool disciplines. Among his numerous titles, Reyes is a four-time World Eight-ball champion, the 1999 WPA World Nine-ball Championship winner, a three-time U.S. Open winner, a two-time World Pool League winner, and a 14-time Derby City Classic winner. Reyes also represented the Philippines at the World Cup of Pool, winning the event with his partner Francisco Bustamante in 2006 and 2009. By defeating American player Earl Strickland in the inaugural Color of Money event in 1997, Reyes took home the largest single match purse in pool history of $100K. Many analysts, fans, and players consider Reyes to be the greatest pool player of all time.
Jeanette Lee is an American professional pool player. She was nicknamed the Black Widow by her friends because, in spite of her sweet demeanor, she would "eat people alive" when she got to a pool table. Jeanette is an American of Korean descent.
Francisco Bustamante is a Filipino professional pool player from Tarlac, Central Luzon and the 2010 World Nine-ball Champion, nicknamed "Django", after the lead character of the 1966 film of the same name, and sometimes also called "Bustie", especially in the United States. Bustamente has won over 50 International titles.
Marlon Manalo is a former Filipino professional pool player from Mandaluyong, Philippines. He became the League of Barangays of the Philippines Press Relation Officer and ABC president.
Corey Deuel is an American professional pocket billiards (pool) player from West Jefferson, Ohio. Nicknamed "Prince of Pool", he won the US Open Nine-ball Championship in 2001, and has won many other major titles. As of January 2008, he is ranked the second highest US pool player by the United States Professional Poolplayers Association. He regularly represents the US in the Mosconi Cup. In 2010 he again was selected for the US team in the Mosconi Cup and was responsible for winning 2 of the US team's 8 points in the event. His tournament walk-on music is “Disco Inferno” by The Trammps.
Niels Feijen is an professional pool player, from the Hague, Netherlands. His nickname is "the Terminator". In 2014 he won the WPA World 9-ball championship.
Alejandro "Alex" Salvador Pagulayan is a Filipino Canadian professional pool and snooker player. His nicknames are "the Lion" and "the Killer Pixie". This latter nickname was given by the great Cliff Thorburn, former World and Canadian Snooker champion. Alex has a third, more recent nickname of "Mungo" given to him by Rick McCallum, former Wayne State University Pocket Billiard instructor and friend from the Hall of Fame Billiard room in Warren, Michigan. Alex was born in Cabagan, Isabela, Philippines and was raised in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. In 2004, Pagulayan returned to the Philippines, and is a dual citizen of Canada and the Philippines.
Jose Parica is a Filipino professional pool player from Manila, nicknamed "Amang" and "the Giant Killer." As a Philippine Hall of Famer, he was a part of the "Filipino invasion" in the United States, especially in the game of nine-ball.
Michael Sigel is an American professional pool player nicknamed "Captain Hook." He earned the nickname from his ability to hook his opponents with safety plays. He is now playing competitively again in the International Pool Tour.
Ronato (Ronnie) Alcano, is a Filipino professional pool player, nicknamed "Ronnie Calamba" and "the Volcano". He won both the 2006 WPA World Nine-ball Championship and the 2007 WPA World Eight-ball Championship.
Johnny Archer is an American professional pool player. He is nicknamed "the Scorpion". On June 8, 2009, Johnny Archer was nominated to be inducted into the Billiard Congress of America Hall of Fame.

Nick Varner is an American pool player who was inducted into the Billiard Congress of America Hall of Fame in 1992. Varner was the winner of the 1999 WPA World Nine-ball Championship.
Daniel (Danny) Basavich is an American professional pool player from New Jersey. He is fondly called "Kid Delicious", a nickname he acquired after defeating a player monickered "Kid Vicious".
Shane Van Boening is an American professional pool player from Rapid City, South Dakota, a former number 1 in the US rankings published by the UPA Tour.
The Golden Cue Billiard Lounge is the only extant billiard hall in Albany, New York, the state capital, and one of the oldest poolrooms in the Northeast. Bordering on Colonie in the state's Capital District, it was opened in 1963, "riding the wave" of the popularity of The Hustler (1961), and bought in 1973 by Rocco Spinelli, Sr., whose son Rocco, Jr. owns it today. The venue has hosted Joss Tour events for many years.
