Sara Bonifacio (born 3 July 1996) is an Italian volleyball player who plays for Igor Gorgonzola Novara. [1]
Bonifacio joined the amateur volleyball club of Alba in 2005 then she was recruited for Club Italia a junior team managed by FIPAV. She signed with Igor Gorgonzola Novara in 2014. [2] Bonifacio plays as blocker. She was selected to play the Italian League All-Star game in 2017. [3]
She was born in Alba, Piedmont to a Nigerian mother and Italian father. [4]
Asystel Volley was an Italian women's volleyball club based in Novara. It played in the Serie A1 from its creation in 2003 until its dissolution in 2012.
Francesca Piccinini is an Italian volleyball player who has represented Italy four times at the Summer Olympics. She was a member of the Women's National Team that won the gold medal at the 2002 World Championship in Germany. She made her debut for Italy on 10 June 1995 against the United States. With the USA national team, she played at the 2017 FIVB World Grand Prix. She was named the best libero at the 2019 FIVB Volleyball Women's Nations League. Courtney was also selected as an alternate to the 2020 USA Olympic Team but did not travel to Tokyo.
