Sara Caroline Lundberg (born 18 May 1971) is a Swedish illustrator and writer.

Biography

Sara Lundberg was educated at McDaniel College in Westminster, Maryland, where she earned a bachelor's degree in theatre and art in 1994, at Konstfack in Stockholm and at the Royal Institute of Art. She has been a member of the Swedish Academy for Children's Books. [1]

In 2009, she won the August Prize for children's and young adult literature for the book Skriv om och om igen, [2] together with Ylva Karlsson, Katarina Kuick and Lilian Bäckman. In the same year, she published the picture book Vita streck. Vita streck och Öjvind was nominated for the August Prize for children's and young adult literature in 2011, and she won the August Prize for children's and young adult literature in 2017 for Fågeln i mig flyger vart den vill. Jonas Hassen Khemiri is a Swedish writer. He is the author of six novels, seven plays, and a collection of essays, short stories and plays. His work has been translated into more than 25 languages. He has received the August Prize for fiction and a Village Voice Obie Award for best script. In 2017 he became the first Swedish writer to have a short story published in the New Yorker. Khemiri's novel The Family Clause (FSG) was awarded the French Prix Médicis and was a finalist for the National Book Award. Khemiri moved to New York in 2021 for a Cullman Fellowship at The New York Public Library and currently teaches in the Creative Writing program at NYU. In 2023 he was a Ben Belitt Distinguished Visiting Writer at Bennington College.

Leif Bloms was a dansband in Växjö in Sweden. scoring chart successes at the Swedish album chart during the mid-late 1970s. On 31 December 1995 the band was disbanded after singing and playing together for almost 40 years. Starting with the 1981 album Håll dig kvar, the band's singer was Mona Gustafsson, who wrote the band's 1992 song "Dej ska jag älska all min tid" which won the 1992 Hänt song contest in Älvsjö. After the band was disbanded, Mona Gustafsson, Patrik Ahlm and René Saulesco founded another dansband, Mona G:s orkester.

Thor-Erics was a dansband in Hyssna, Sweden. The band was established in 1963 and performed for last time on 27 December 1999. The band appeared at TV in Sweden and Norway several times. Nick Borgen performed with the band by the late 1970s and early 1980s.

Nu ska vi sjunga was published in 1943 by the Almqvist & Wiksell publishing company, and is a songbook for Swedish primary schools. Songs marked with * are meant to be sung in the third grade. The book was published on the initiative of Alice Tegnér.

Expressens Heffaklump (Heffaklumpen) is a Swedish annual award for children's and youth culture, especially children's and youth literature, that is awarded by the newspaper Expressen. The award was established in 1966 and the original award statuette was created by the artist Karl Göte Bejemark, but in the 2010s the artist Stina Opitz was given the assignment. The name "Heffaklump" is taken from the Swedish name of the Heffalump character in A.A. Milne's Winnie the Pooh stories.
