Sarah Walter (born 5 May 1978 in Schiltigheim) is a retired French athlete, who specialised in the Javelin. She has held, since 2003, the French javelin record with a throw of 62.53 m.
Second in the 1997 Junior European Championships, she won four French national javelin titles in 1997, 2002, 2003 and 2005.
On 12 June 2002, in Bordeaux, she set a new France Javelin record of 62.48 m, improving by 32 cm the former best national mark held since 2000 by Nadine Auzeil. On 27 June 2003, in Strasbourg, she bettered this record to 62.53 m. [1]

Andreas Thorkildsen is a retired Norwegian track and field athlete who competed in the javelin throw. He was the Olympic Champion in 2004 and 2008, European Champion in 2006 and 2010, and World Champion in 2009. He is the first male javelin thrower in history to simultaneously be European, World and Olympic Champion. He was also a three-time silver medalist at the World Championships, placing second in 2005, 2007 and 2011. His personal best of 91.59 m, set in 2006, is the Norwegian record.
Tero Kristian Pitkämäki is a retired Finnish track and field athlete who competed in the javelin throw. He is a World Champion, having won gold in 2007. His personal best throw of 91.53 m, set in 2005, ranks him eleventh on the overall list.

Ilse Kristiina ('Tiina') Lillak is a Finnish former javelin thrower. She is the 1983 world champion and 1984 Olympic silver medalist. She also twice broke the world record, with throws of 72.40 metres in 1982 and 74.76 metres in 1983. The latter distance ranks third on the all-time list with the old javelin model.
Devendra Jhajharia is an Indian Paralympic javelin thrower competing in F46 events. He is the first Indian Paralympics player to win two gold medals at the Paralympics. He won his first gold in the javelin throw at the 2004 Summer Paralympics in Athens, becoming the second gold medalist at the Paralympics for his country. At the 2016 Summer Paralympics in Rio de Janeiro, he won a second gold medal in the same event, bettering his previous record. Devendra is currently being supported by the Olympic Gold Quest. He becomes India's most decorated Paralympic player by winning his third medal, a silver at the 2020 Summer Paralympics at Tokyo.
Remigija Nazarovienė is a retired Lithuanian heptathlete. She won the bronze medal at the 1997 World Championships and finished third at the 1998 IAAF World Combined Events Challenge. She won the Talence Decastar twice, in 1996 and 1997, and was runner-up in 1989 and 1998. She competed at three consecutive Olympic Games, three consecutive World Championships in Athletics, ad four straight editions of the European Athletics Championships.

Chilla is the Spanish record holder for the event, with a best mark of 64.07 metres, and has won medals at the Mediterranean Games and the Ibero-American Championships.

Nery Gustavo Kennedy Rolón is a javelin thrower from Paraguay, who represented his native country at two Summer Olympics. He briefly held the South American record for the Javelin Throw with a result of 81.28m, thrown on 9 May 1998, overtaking compatriot Edgar Baumann at the time. The mark stood until 1999, when compatriot Baumann threw 84.70 metres. In 2008, he worked as a coach in Canada with Frédérick Bouchard. He achieved the Texas A&M Javelin Throw record in 1994. Kennedy was coached by Juan De La Garza at Texas A&M in 1996.

The 2006 USA Outdoor Track and Field Championships was organised by USA Track & Field and held from June 22 to 25 at the IU Michael A. Carroll Track & Soccer Stadium in Indianapolis, Indiana. The four-day competition served as the national championships in track and field for the United States. As there was no Summer Olympics or World Championships in Athletics held that year, the competition did not serve as a national team selection event.
