Sarah Wilkinson is the former chief executive of NHS Digital, [1] [2] which is an executive non-departmental public body of the Department of Health and Social Care,and part of the NHS in England.
Wilkinson has been named as the second most influential woman working in technology in the UK by Computer Weekly , [3] [4] as well as being named as Chief Digital Officer of the year for 2017 by the CDO club. [5] On her appointment to NHS Digital,she also made her first entry in the Health Service Journal HSJ100 list,entering at number 80. [6] Wilkinson resigned from her role as NHS Digital chief executive in March 2021. [7]
Before joining NHS Digital,Wilkinson worked as Chief Information Officer at the Home Office. [1]
Prior to this,she held various roles with financial organisations including Credit Suisse,UBS,Deutsche Bank,and Lehman Brothers.
In March 2021,Wilkinson announced her resignation from NHS Digital as Chief Executive Officer after four years of service. [8] She was replaced by Simon Bolton.
NHS Digital was the trading name of the Health and Social Care Information Centre,which was the national provider of information,data and IT systems for commissioners,analysts and clinicians in health and social care in England,particularly those involved with the National Health Service of England. The organisation was an executive non-departmental public body of the Department of Health and Social Care.

Sir James Mackey,Chief Executive of Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust,was appointed to be Chief Executive of NHS Improvement in October 2015 as a two-year secondment. He confirmed that he intended to return to Northumbria. He resumed his post as Chief Executive at Northumbria Healthcare Trust in November 2017.

Donna Ockenden,is a British midwife and community activist. She was commissioned in 2016 by the then UK Secretary for Health and Social Care,Jeremy Hunt,to chair an independent review into maternity services at Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust. Initial findings of the Ockenden Review were reported in December 2020,with a final report published on 17 March 2022. In May 2022,it was announced by NHS England that Ockenden would chair an independent review of maternity services at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust (NUH). This review commenced at the beginning of September 2022 and is expected to continue until late 2025.
