Saraswati Medical College is a private medical institute in Unnao, Uttar Pradesh, India, under the aegis of Saraswati Group of Educational Institutes which also has a Dental college and a 300 bed Hospital. [1]

In February 2021, the Supreme Court of India imposed a fine of Rs 5 crore on the Saraswati Education Charitable Trust, the administrative body for the medical college, for admitting 132 MBBS students without necessary permission from the Director General Medical Education, Uttar Pradesh and found to be in violation of the Medical Council of India (now the National Medical Commission). [2]

The Uttar Pradesh State Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission is an autonomous, statutory and constitutional institution formed as a quasi-judicial body in Uttar Pradesh under Section 24-B of the Consumer Protection Act, 1986 to protect the rights of consumers. It is a system of alternate dispute resolution between conflicting parties during the process of trade. The president of the States Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission is appointed by the state government in consultation with the Chief Justice of state high court.
