She is the daughter of Punjabi author Dalbir Chetan. She completed her PhD in Punjabi folklore and currently she is an assistant professor in Punjabi at Sri Guru Angad Dev College, Khadur Sahib, Tarn-Taran. [1]
The Giller Prize, is a literary award given to a Canadian author of a novel or short story collection published in English the previous year, after an annual juried competition between publishers who submit entries. Anurag gets to interact a lot with kids especially his nephews and nieces who live in Jalandhar. Anurag made his production debut by producing Super Singh which broke many records, under his production company named as Brat Films. He has also produced Shadaa, which broke so many records, and Puaada, which is releasing in April 2021.

The Dhahan Prize is an annual prize awarded by Canada-India education society for excellence in Punjabi fiction. The prize is given to three books of fiction, written in either Gurmukhi or Shahmukhi script of Punjabi. The prize is named after Canadian Punjabi businessman, Barj Singh Dhahan.
Balli Kaur Jaswal is a Singaporean novelist, having family roots in Punjab. Her first novel Inheritance won the Sydney Morning Herald's Best Young Australian Novelist Award in 2014, and was adapted for a film presented at the 2017 Singapore International Festival of the Arts. Her second novel Sugarbread was a finalist for the 2015 inaugural Epigram Books Fiction Prize. Her third novel, Erotic Stories for Punjabi Widows was released in 2017, and garnered her a wider international following, driven in part by being picked as a selection for Reese Witherspoon's Hello Sunshine online book club. Movie rights for Erotic Stories for Punjabi Widows have been sold to Scott Free Productions and Film4. In 2019, the Business Times described Jaswal as "the most internationally well-known Singapore novelist after Crazy Rich Asians’ Kevin Kwan."
