Sarhadein is an Indian television series which aired on Zee TV . [1] The story narrates the similarities between the people living in two countries. Besides, it won a numerous awards at the time it was on-air, such as the Indian television actor Govind Namdeo won "Best Actor in a Negative Role" award for his role "Kedar Nath" at the Indian Telly Awards in 2002. [2] The series was produced by UTV Software Communications and set in the backdrop of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. It averaged 1.5 TRPs at the time it was on air. [3]
Sarhadein is a love story of an Indian girl and a Pakistani boy who fall in love with each other while studying in Kuala Lumpur. They get together by a case of mistaken identities but religion and restrictions loom over their love. Now the question remains is that will their parents' be able to accept their relationship once they go back to India and Pakistan? Will the society ever approve of their love, since they belong to different religion and enemy neighboring countries.
Border is a 1997 Indian Hindi-language epic war film directed, produced and written by J. P. Dutta. Set during the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971, it is an adaptation of real life events that happened during the Battle of Longewala in 1971. Gadar: Ek Prem Katha is a 2001 Indian Hindi-language romantic period action drama film directed by Anil Sharma and set during the Partition of India in 1947. Loosely based on the life of Boota Singh, the film stars Sunny Deol and Amisha Patel in lead roles alongside Amrish Puri and Lillete Dubey. Sharma's son Utkarsh as a child artist plays Deol and Patel's son, before his first film as an adult, another Sharma directorial Genius (2018). The Khichdi franchise is a Hindi language franchise of sitcom series and film created by Hats Off Productions and UTV Software Communications, which debuted on STAR Plus on 10 September 2002. The series has been rerun on STAR Plus and its sister channels several times. Unlike other Hindi sitcoms, which continuously air throughout the year, Khichdi is one of the earliest shows on Indian television to adopt the Western model of appearing in seasons. The second season was called Instant Khichdi, which made its debut on STAR Plus's sister channel, STAR One. A film was made, based on the previous two TV series Khichdi and Instant Khichdi. It is the first film in the history of Hindi cinema to be based on a television series.
